Cozy cottage 3/4 mile from Oak Bluffs harbor

Family owned/charming home in Oak Bluffs, 1/2 mile walk to East Chop Lighthouse and slightly more to the town harbor, which connects to ferry terminals for Island Queen, Vineyard Fast Ferry, Seastreak, Hy-Line and Steamship Authority (Oak Bluffs terminal). Three bedrooms total with one king bed, one queen bed and two singles (bunk beds). One and a half bathrooms indoors plus an outdoor shower. Mini split provides air conditioning/heat throughout the house. Washer/dryer room for your convenience. Private parking for up to (2) vehicles. Relax on the deck or in the sun room with very quiet yard in peaceful wooded area. Wifi internet to work remotely on vacation or stream shows and movies. Smart TV, watch your Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc. No traditional cable TV.

Dirty!

Hello Jon, I wanted to start out by saying the location of the house was great and the size was perfect for the four of us. Obvious a lot of hard work went into the remodeling. We really enjoyed the family photo album of the process. BUT the cleanliness was unacceptable!! I have some photos unfortunately, I canā€™t post them all. It is very obvious that nobody has cleaned that house or done a walk-through in a very, very long time. The amount of spiders and cobwebs tells me that and your maid is not doing her job. I had so much more to this email with better details, but unfortunately, Iā€™m not able to communicate directly with you. This was a birthday vacation for my sister and it was quite embarrassing. I would like to be compensated in a way that we would both find fair. Thank you

Great stay in a great location

This property is perfect for a trip to Marthaā€™s Vineyard; itā€™s close to many restaurants and very easy to get around. The sunroom and outdoor shower are fantastic! I recommend this to anyone looking to visit the island.

Great little cottage !

Stayed here with 3 friends as we were running the marathon. Better than the photos! So cute, everything was thoughtfully set up, we had anything we needed and having a washer dryer was a huge bonus! Flexible check in as well. Secluded, but easily walkable to many great places to eat and shop. Would 100% stay here again, highly recommend.

The Best Stay For A Girls Weekend!

We had the best time at Jon & Peters Cottage! It was the perfect place to relax at with the outdoor showering being a big plus for us! Location is ideal with only a short walk to Oak Bluffs downtown or short drive to Edgartown! The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed! The hosts were so quick to respond and were very accommodating! Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Everything about this property wuz awesome. This has nothing to do w/ the property, but the walk to Oak Bluffs waterfront wuz a little hairy w/ no sidewalks, especially in the dark. We only walked once & then opted for quick $20 Uber rides which were e-z to get. Awesome vacation.

3 nights over Mother's Day weekend with two couples. Comfortable, quiet, easy access to Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven, and a good home base for exploring the rest of the island. Also good to just hang out at the house. Beach chairs and bikes were handy, as was the laundry. We would stay here again for sure.

Late Cleaning

When we checked-in, we immediately noticed the property had not been cleaned from prior guests. I reached out to the host 5 min after we arrived and someone was there to clean within the hour. After the property was cleaned, it was WAY better, but there were spiders and crickets present in the house during our stay.

Wonderful house in a beautiful setting. Photos do it no justice. Location is very convenient to ā€œdowntownā€ and the waterfront. Bedrooms were large and so comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and there is lots of room, indoors and out, to gather. We were there for a one-time visit, attending a wedding. Would have loved to stay longer ! Too bad itā€™s too far for a routine trip. Donā€™t miss the outdoor shower. Thanks for creating such a lovely spot !

Family Gathering in Oak Bluffs

Had a wonderful stay at East Chop. Location was close enough to Oak Bluffs to be convenient yet far enough to be quiet. Kitchen is well stocked with equipment and the beach chairs and cart were super helpful for a day at the beach.

The cottage is surrounded by trees and is very peaceful. We walked to the Marthaā€™s Vineyard transit stop without any trouble. We got an Uber on the way back since it was after sunset. The porch was a relaxing start to the day watching squirrels play. Everything at the property worked and was as advertised!
