"We spent the night in Mad River Valley at the 1830 House for a weekend event. The house was clean and cosy and it accommodated all of us. The Wifi worked well and we loved the privacy each of us had in our own rooms. We also appreciated the kitchen (there are two, if you book the whole house - one up and one down!). It was close to our venue, the Mad River Barn, too. The only downside (minor) was the steep stairwell to the second floor. There was no railing to guide guests. My 84-year-old mom...

The kitchen is well appointed and a fun place in which to cook and share meals with friends. The living room furniture and beds are very comfortable. Because we visited during warm weather, we did not use the fireplace or wood stove."

"The maple castle was awesome! Definitely the most unique house I have ever stayed in. You can sit in the hot tub and watch the river or you can walk down a tiny hill to tie up a tube and float in it. The owners were extremely helpful and responsive. Would definitely recommend. "
