Lower level apartment of owner's cottage–quiet and private (not entire home)

Kids and adults alike enjoy exploring the shoreline of this unique property by kayak, paddle board, hiking or swimming. Water shoes are available from the owners and they will gladly let you borrow their kayaks and paddle boards – or bring your own!

Newly built in 2017, the lower level apartment has one bedroom and one bath with a large kitchen and living room. The futons in the living room can accommodate additional guests.

The pictures do not give this listing justice. The picturesque drive up the laneway that unveils to this stunning home and then the breath taking views of the water and views is just amazing!The accommodations were clean, bright and spacious! Could sit in bed look out the big bay windows and watch all the burds and squirrels eating right outside. The patio doors and kitchen windows let you enjoy the privacy but also can to see all the wildlife right next to you.The view from the bathroom was just amazing! My favourite view! Overlooking the water, the rocks, the firepit, the sitting area We had an amazing stay! Our host was most accommodating and even provided places to check out and maps before we came up for sight seeing and attractions to checkout on our drive up; which we did! We will most certainly be coming back! Cannot say enough good things about the property, the views, the host and overall experience! Thank you sooo much!

Our stay was wonderful! North Paw was clean, cozy and the view was exceptional. Our hosts have gone out of their way to make it a great experience with walking trails, campfire with wood, outdoor chairs and cushions. We thoroughly recommend NorthPaw, especially if you enjoy the outdoors.

Our stay at North Paw was absolutely wonderful. The property is shaped like a palm hand, surrounded by beautiful, clear water that felt calm and refreshing every day. The cottage itself was clean, cozy, and made us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed our evenings by the campfire—it became a special part of our trip. The natural setting was alive with blue jays and other birds, which made the mornings and afternoons so peaceful and enjoyable. Overall, it was the perfect place for relaxation, fun, and creating memories. We truly appreciate the care the owners have put into making this such a welcoming and beautiful spot. Our family spent the most incredible long weekend at North Paw, it's genuinely a magical place. We left the holiday feeling relaxed and at peace, it was priceless to spend time and connect as a family. Tim and Dave are kind and so detail oriented that they thought of every eventuality! The property itself was impeccable and spotless ... the bed was honestly more comfortable than our own! As well, from restaurant recommendations to activities, our hosts provided suggestions as soon as we booked such that putting together our vacation itinerary took no time at all.Highlights:- Spending time at North Paw. Whether it was spending a quiet morning spent on the couch, looking out the window and sipping coffee or paddle-boarding, being at North Paw was so relaxing. - Being in the water at North Paw. (As pictured) snorkelling, paddle boarding, kayaking etc. It was all so accessible and so fun! - Exploring North Paw. (As pictured) spending time in hammocks, going on hikes or sitting by the fire. - Tobermory Wave Adventures tour! We enjoyed the experiential learning of seeing the sights and while also learning about the escarpment and the peninsula from the very knowledgeable tour guides! - Eating at many of the local restaurants! Our favourite was Coconut Joe's! -- Great breakfasts/lunches at the Hungry Hiker, Little Cove Bakery, Little Tub Sub Shop, and TruFood Cafe.-- Great dinners at Shipwreck Lee's, Las Chulas & Tacomory! All in all, North Paw was perfect!

Tim kindly set up a fire for us every night of our stay. We felt so cozy roasting marshmallows, stargazing and telling ghost stories.
We highly recommend the trails at North Paw, they were hidden gem! The trails are a great example of how much soul Dave & Tim have put into North Paw, all the trailheads are spray painted by hand with a custom North Paw logo!

Perfect getaway

Dave and Tim's place was absolutely spectacular, and the pictures don't even do it justice! The hosts were so friendly and helpful in all ways - their recommendations for places to go and things to see were perfect. The apartment was spotless and was equipped with everything you could possibly need, both inside and out. The location could not have been better - just a few minutes from the heart of Tobermory, but very very quiet and secluded once you're at North Paw. We have incredible photos and memories and definitely hope to go back for a longer stay!

Heaven on the Huron!

Our stay at the North Paw was simply perfect! Dave and Tim were absolutely charming and welcoming! The place was spotless clean and the right size for our needs. The North Paw is perfectly located, water is extremely clean and there is lots to do with the kayaks, paddle boards etc. Just close enough to Tobermory, you will enjoy the silence of the lake and the magnificent sunsets!We can only recommend this absolute jewel on the lake! Comfortable and well decorated apartment in a beautiful location. Really really beautiful. Kitchen was small - but we anticipated that and didn't plan on cooking there a bunch. Great location. Dave and Tim were great hosts. They had so many things for guests' use like kayaks for all four of us, water shoes, sunscreen, beach towels, etc. We would love to come back!

Wonderful

North Paw is wonderful, serene, perfectly located getaway that you will not want to leave. The hosts Dave and Tim are helpful, friendly, thoughtful and they know all the good spots around the Bruce Peninsula. We saw lots of wildlife, sooo many stars. We enjoyed the bonfires, used the kayaks and appreciated all the amenities provided. The apartment is clean and comfortable, we did not miss anything. Thank you for a wonderful stay

We had a fabulous time at North Paw! Views were amazing! Dave and Tim were wonderful hosts! Everything we needed was there! Loved listening to the lake at night and enjoyed sitting by the lake for the sunset each night! We hope to get back for another visit!

Our Experience at North Paw

Our hosts, Dave and Tim, showed remarkable hospitality. We were greeted with a warm reception upon arrival. Dave graciously prepared a delicious snack for our enjoyment while my husband attended to grocery shopping. This location is notably secluded. The hosts' meticulous attention to detail was readily apparent. At any given moment, the only sounds one could hear were birds chirping and occasional conversation. Our 12-year-old and nine-year-old granddaughters, who accompanied us, delighted in exploring the shallower waters, kayaking, and simply sitting on the rocks, absorbing the natural surroundings. The sunsets were breathtakingly spectacular! I have no hesitation in recommending this place to a couple or a couple and two kids.

You won't be disappointed with your stay at North Paw. The rental space is beautifully appointed and clean with picturesque views of the water. The outdoor patios offer a wonderful a panoramic view of of the bay. Your hosts, Dave & Tim, are friendly and inviting. They've thought of everything to make your stay comfortable from lots of little extras, including solid wifi, to a pdf of local attractions for first-timers to the area.

Wonderful!

We were absolutely delighted with our choice! The property is in a fantastic location, so close to the water and beautifully quiet, surrounded by nature but with quick access by car to Tobermory. The property is spotless, cozy yet modern and extremely well equipped. Bed was very comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the kayaks and sitting beside the fire gazing up at a sky full of stars. Dave and Tim are wonderful hosts, extremely thoughtful, kind and knowledgeable. Truly, this is a gem and we'll definitely return!

Beautiful spot with very well equipped and thoughtfully curated space!

Spent a long weekend on a girls trip and loved our stay at Tim, Dave and Cinder’s place. The accommodations were spacious, very clean and the hosts have done an excellent job of equipping the space with thoughtful and practical details to maximize our stay. Tim and Dave were very welcoming and responsive, would definitely recommend this place and I look forward to returning!
