"Great place to crash if you're visiting the river, 10 minutes from Oregon Creek Park, which is an awesome spot to hit with kids. Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. Space itself is set up for 2 people, if you bring more people (wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults, 2 kids) you should bring an air mattress and your own bedding. "I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville."

"Sent my hubby and my boys on a weekend fishing trip and they stayed at this place. It was perfect! Place was clean, hosts were amazing folks! After a long day fishing, they were able to chill in the pool. Hospitality was tremendous, and the most important part was that the dogs were the best! Would definitely stay again. "

"The night sky from the deck of the geodesic dome was absolutely spectacular, as were the views. The home was clean, thoughtfully appointed and was situated on an exceptional property. It was also a short drive from the Sierra Storytelling Festival, which made it even better. The only shortcoming is that there was only one full bed and the two others were a futon and a sofa bed. A twin bed in the loft would be a lovely addition. For 4 adults, it works fine."

"Because of the size of our group, we booked the lodge along with the campground, yurt, and the homestead cabin. The set up was marvelous for our family of 43. The beds were comfortable, and spaces were well-equipped. The kitchen was our main selling point. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to prepare and serve food. Inside plus outside seating easily accommodated our large group. The weather was too warm to have a campfire, but the campfire space was an excellent outdoor gathering space....

"Had a great stay! Worked perfectly for our “needs”. We stayed here the night before our fishing tournament at Bullards Bar. Plenty of room to park both of our boats and tow vehicles.
