    Conveniently located in Old Man Bay, this peaceful retreat is typically about a 35–40 minute drive from Owen Roberts International Airport in George Town and offers beautiful views over a protected Marine Park reef just steps from your screened lanai.

    With a private beach, pool, dock, and complimentary kayak, it is ideal for couples or families seeking an off the beaten path, snorkeling friendly getaway.

    LIVING AREA & INTERIOR FEATURES

    • Bright open plan living area with beachy décor, flat screen TV, Apple TV, DVD player, and cable.

    • Fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, Keurig coffee maker, and a good stock of spices, condiments, and basic pantry items for easy meal prep.

    • In home washer and dryer for guest use.

    • Primary Suite (upstairs): King size bed, cable TV, and a private screened lanai with elevated ocean views.

    • Guest Bedroom (upstairs): Two twin beds that can be converted to a king upon request.

    • Bathrooms: Two full bathrooms upstairs plus a convenient half bath on the ground floor.

    • Large freshwater pool with cobblestone deck and lush tropical landscaping, just steps from your screened lanai.

    • Approximately 240 feet of private natural beachfront with sweeping Caribbean Sea views.

    • Private dock with swim platform and a traditional thatched cabana, perfect for sunset viewing and watching rays, turtles, and fish pass by.

    • Complimentary 2 person kayak, snorkeling gear, and two beach chairs for guest use.

    • Optional extras such as adult bikes, fishing rods, and lawn games are available on request (subject to availability).

    BEACH & WATER ACCESS

    Northern Lights #3 sits directly oceanfront on Grand Cayman’s North Side, with approximately 240 feet of private natural sandy beachfront and beautiful views over a protected Marine Park reef. This stretch of coastline is wonderful for shore snorkeling and diving, with coral, rays, turtles, and tropical fish often spotted just offshore, and easy access from the dock’s swim ladder and platform.

    The beach here is a natural shoreline, better suited for snorkeling, beachcombing, and relaxing by the water than for long sandy walks or shallow wading right in front of the condo. Underfoot you’ll find a mix of sand and coral, and water entry is typically from the dock into deeper water over the reef rather than a gentle sandbar. For comfort, we recommend wearing water shoes or fins when entering the sea and always checking daily sea conditions before going in.

    If easy, classic sandy swimming is a priority, there are several great options a short drive away:

    • North Side and Cayman Kai public beach areas offer softer sand and more traditional walk in swimming.

    • Rum Point Beach and the Kaibo area provide sandy entry, beach chairs, and water sports, and are an easy drive from the condo.

    Many guests love the quiet, reef front setting here for its snorkeling, views, and peaceful atmosphere; please review the photos and description to ensure it matches the kind of beach experience you’re looking for.

    • Over the Edge Café – About a 5–10 minute drive east along North Side Road for casual local dining with classic waterfront views.

    • Rum Point Club & Restaurant – Usually 15–20 minutes away for oceanfront dining, beach bar favorites, hammocks, and a relaxed beach club vibe.

    • Red Sail Sports at Rum Point – Also around 15–20 minutes by car for Stingray City trips, snorkeling, diving, paddleboarding, and kayak rentals.

    • Kaibo Beach Bar & Grill – Roughly 15–20 minutes’ drive for casual beachfront lunches, wood fired pizzas, and sunset cocktails.

    • Upstairs at Kaibo – Upscale fine dining above Kaibo Beach Bar, also about 15–20 minutes away.

    • Kaibo coffee spot – In the same Kaibo complex, typically 15–20 minutes away, great for coffee, pastries, and easy breakfast starts.

    • La Casita (East End) – Around a 20–25 minute drive toward East End for Mexican fare in a relaxed setting.

    • Starfish Point – Typically 15–20 minutes by car via the Kaibo/Rum Point area, popular for shallow water and starfish viewing.

    • Stingray City sandbar – Reached by boat tours departing from Kaibo or Rum Point.

    • Cayman Crystal Caves – About a 10–15 minute drive inland from the North Side/Old Man Bay area.

    • Queen Elizabeth II Botanical Garden – Generally 15–20 minutes away via Frank Sound Road, with nature trails, iguanas, and tropical gardens.

    GROCERIES, SUNDAY CLOSURES & PRACTICAL DETAILS

    Nearby grocery options such as Foster’s Express and Chisholm's Grocery are about 15 to 20 minutes away by car. Larger supermarkets are also convenient stops on the drive from the airport.

    Supermarkets are closed on Sundays in Cayman, though most restaurants and gas stations remain open, and some gas stations sell liquor on Sundays. Grocery items can also be pre-ordered and delivered before arrival.

    Chisholm’s Market is on the Northside, and is open 7 days a week, and is well stocked with food, supplies, beer, wine & liquor. 15 minutes from the condo.

    TRANSPORTATION

    • A rental car is highly recommended for this area so guests can easily explore Grand Cayman at their own pace.

    • Many guests book directly with trusted local providers such as Marshall’s Rent-A-Car, Andy's Rent-A-Car, or compare options through Kayak.

    • Public transportation is a short walk away, having a car offers the greatest convenience and flexibility.

    PROMOTIONS

Beautiful

We had the most relaxed vacation at northern Lights. We enjoyed swimming right off the dock and in the pool and waking up to the beautiful views every day. It’s a private oasis and I would definitely visit again.

Great location!

Great location for those that want something away from the hustle and bustle of 7 Mile Beach. This property with its pool and dock were fantastic attributes. It was a bit windy so the pool was great to have as an alternative to the ocean on those days. Best snorkeling we found on the Island was right off the dock, in a protected Marine Reserve!Perfect choice for us.

Family Loved it!

We stayed a week for our spring break. Property was clean and in great shape. Loved the little touches like the Rum cake and chocolate for the kids. The view was amazing and we loved the little dock which was great for watching the sunset and a little fishing in the evening. Also, very laid back compared to some other parts of the island but close enough to some great restaurants and activities. Snorkeling was also fun right off the property. Wife loved it as well and would definitely come back.

Fantastic Find

This was the fourth trip my family has taken to Grand Cayman and our first time staying at Northern Lights.The other reviews are accurate! This condo is fully equipped with everything you could need and the hosts have also provided items you may have forgotten to pack plus left delicious rum cakes!The views are spectacular! We loved snorkeling right off the dock- every day. Our teens loved the pool and soaking up the rays.It was exactly what we were looking for. Definitely will return!

Beautiful Place with Stunning views

We stayed at Northern Lights #3 and from the moment we walked in we were in 'Awe'. The place is very clean, the views are breathtaking, the kitchen is well stocked and the additional spices and condiments that are provided were a very nice touch. We stayed in Cayman in 2021 at Rum Point and found this place to be much nicer and 'more bang for your buck' :). Our friends that came with us for the first time to Cayman also agreed the place was stunning and the fact that it is a bit off the beaten path is something we all agreed we liked. Very quiet location, the pool and dock was also a nice convenient way to spend a few days away from the hustle. Highly recommend this location to anyone traveling to Cayman.
