  • Welcome to Trident Estate! Designed by the renowned architect, Ray Nathaniels, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, this asymmetrical home was custom built in an architectural style specific to its environment. Trident Estate consists of a newly remodeled (2023) four-bedroom, four and a half-bath main house and a two bedroom, two-bath guest house.

    Trident Estate has 450 feet of glorious private beachfront on pink-sand Poponi Beach, ranked one of the best beaches in the Bahamas. Situated on 3 private acres of lush tropical gardens, Trident has plenty of seclusion and everything you need for an idyllic vacation. You will usually have the beach to yourself at this private location, and yet a great restaurant and bar (Unique Resort, which has a excellent new chef) is a 3-minute walk down the beach from the property.

    Amenities at Trident Estate include:

    Private pool with large deck and wooden gazebo providing full coverage from the sun.

    Our new ocean-view hot tub!

    Sliding glass doors and windows that offer sweeping views of ocean and gardens from most rooms.

    Shaded patios and porches off of every room offer cool places to sit any time of the day.

    Rooftop terrace with panoramic views.

    Fully equipped kitchen with induction cooktop and oven, oversized fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, mini-grill, toaster, juicer, blender, coffee machine and tea kettle. (The guest house also has a full kitchen.)

    Office space – Trident is set up for a fully operational home office with three desks, multiple monitors, and a printer.

    Trident is fully air conditioned to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

    Amenities include AC, reliable Wi-Fi, Six smart TVs with Netflix, room safe, washer/dryer, large freshwater cistern with filtration system, automatic on-demand generator and solar, outdoor Weber BBQ, two sea kayaks (one inflatable double kayak to take in the car, one double sea kayak for the beach), beach chairs and beds, and four outdoor showers.

    BEDROOMS:
    There are four bedrooms and four and a half- baths in the main house:
    Master Bedroom: King bed, ocean view, en-suite bath. (The master bedroom can be entered through one of two guest bedrooms or from the patio.)
    Oceanview Bedroom: King bed, ocean view, en-suite bath.
    Partial Seaview Bedroom: King bed, partial ocean view, en-suite bath.
    Garden Bedroom: King bed, garden view, en-suite bath.

    There are two bedrooms and two baths in the guest house:
    Bedroom 1: King bed with en-suite bath.
    Bedroom 2: Queen bed with bathroom just across the hallway.
    The two bedrooms share a walk-in shower in the middle which connects both bathrooms.
    The guest house also has a full living room, dining area, and full kitchen.

    LOCATION:
    Unique Village restaurant and bar is a 1-minute walk down the beach from Trident Estate. La Bougainvillea Resort with its excellent restaurant and bar is a 15-minute walk down the beach.

    The town of Palmetto Point is just half a mile away, a one-minute drive or a ten-minute walk. Tippy's beachfront restaurant is a 5-minute drive. A ten-minute drive takes you into Governors Harbor, the main town on the island. Governors Harbor has a charming collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking its historic harbor. Buy fresh fish and lobster most afternoons from fisherman at the town dock, or visit the recently restored Haynes Library, which dates from 1897, for the weekly coffee hour for foreign residents and tourists. Governors Harbor has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, and a medical clinic. Friday Night Fish Fry in Governors Harbor, a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street, is not to be missed.

Private Oasis with ALL the Amenities

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This architectural gem is nestled on 3 acres above one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. We are already planning another visit. The home is newly remodeled in a modern, yet inviting style. We made good use of the gourmet kitchen and loved the well-appointed baths. Our family of 12 found the large kitchen and common space perfect - whether for group meals, a birthday celebration or cozy conversations on the large couch or small table overlooking the beach. Having access to a stretch of private, pink sand beach is one of the delights of Trident Estate as you can pop down for the sunrise in your PJs. Although you feel like you're the only building on the island, you can walk down the powdery sand beach to access two restaurants. And, it's an easy drive to grocery stores, a pharmacy and medical services. There are so many options for sub-sets of a group to converse or just relax. The pool area is an oasis in and of itself... the rooftop is perfect for star-gazing and the beach cabana is a great place for cocktails. Both the owner and the local manager were attentive and responsive to our needs - the house was spotless - exemplary customer service. PS: As sailors, we have experienced the full range of beaches - from the rocky, eagle aeries of British Columbia, Canada through to the Seychelles’ splendid “Source of the Money” beach. We believe Pompano Beach ranks in the top 10... and certainly took full pleasure in Trident Estate’s stretch of this splendid beach.

Photos are brilliant but once you get there you realize that it's not only the beauty but the vibe you get when you're at this property. It's cool, calm, peaceful and just overall amazing. We had a party of 11 and everyone was comfortable and felt at home. The view from the rooftop was spectacular and watching the sun rise from that spot was breathtaking. Justin, the manager of the property went far beyond the call of duty to make our experience even more special than it already was. I would 10/10 recc9mend this property to everyone I know. It's been 2 weeks since we returned home and we are still basking in the afterglow of our experience at this property. If you do book this property, please tell Patrice at Millards Grocery Store, I said hello.
