"Really nice hosts! This is a bit of a hidden gem, the name may suggest more of a summer vibe but this is a great spot for a winter weekend mission to the mountain. They don’t have many rooms which is kinda nice as is keeps things pretty quiet. Heaps of parking space close to the rooms and the spa was great after a day on the mountain. Simple, very clean and well priced with great host! Not much more you could ask for. "

"It's worth it just because of its prime location in Tongariro National Park, a World Heritage Site. The staff's smiles and small touches are wonderful, but I also like that they don't get too involved so as not to ruin the atmosphere of the lodge. We have everything from cooking utensils to tableware, so if you bring your own ingredients, you can enjoy your and your family's favorite dishes in a quiet location of your choice."
