"Sadly, the Ben Miller is outdated and really needing a makeover. Straight from the outset, the front lobby was shabby (with furniture that was seriously in need of a change), the dining area resembled something out of a lodge in the Poconos in the 60's/70's (certainly not fine dining) with ample evidence of roof leaks and the view to the river having debris quite visible. Our room, while clean, showed evidence of much wear and tear; what stuck in our minds was the rust visible on the ceiling...

"We absolutely loved our stay! The bed and breakfast is in a perfect location. It’s just a short walk to shops and restaurants, so we were able to leave the car and explore on foot. The hosts are wonderful! They’re so welcoming, friendly, and happy to answer any questions, which really helped us make the most of our visit. "The Dunlop sits on a very nice piece of property and it would have been pleasant to have a walk about but the weather was too inclement. The room itself was basic, a little dilapidated but clean. The bed the comfortable, the pillows were not quite so comfortable. A little upgrade in the coffee amenities would be good, perhaps a real carafe instead of paper cups. Internet was very slow, unfortunately. The owner Mike is very nice, he seemed to remember me from years ago. We paid $99.00...

"Great stay. I have been at the Maple Leaf Motel several times over more than 20 years. I have always loved it, and I find it to be better than ever under the most recent management! I received courteous service, found updated equipment in rooms, which were extremely clean. I will be back, when my travels bring me to Goderich!"
