"Peter at the front desk has to be the most delightful and helpful person we have had the pleasure of dealing with at any hotel we have ever stayed. As he told me when I complemented him "it is not that hard to be nice to people." So true and that really put a positive spin on this hotel. Highly recommended!"

"This has been one of my favorite hotels EVER. I'd rank it top 2, my only regret is I wish I spent 2 nights instead of one. Very quaint and right at the start of Stillwater. You can walk towards the river with the bridge leading you to Wisconsin or walk right down Main Street. "Drove for 4 and a half hours to get here. We arrived around 12:30 pm. Our check in was at 3:00 pm. We were told by the hotel clerk that The hotel rooms were all booked or not ready by the cleaning staff just yet. We were happy that the hotel clerk was able to check us in an hour earlier which we were running late for a wedding party anyway.
