"This is a beautiful, spacious home with anything you'd think to need to feel comfortable on a vacation. The outside hangout spaces were lovely. Even the mother-in-law liked it, so it has to be good ;) Sabrina was a very responsive host too! "

"Very nice spacious house, it was perfect for us for a weekend family stay. Everything was very clean and in good working order. However would recommend a new microwave, it took a very long time to heat food, also need shower curtain liner. Good communication with owner and answered all questions. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend! "

"We were looking for a nice place on a lake not far from all of us without a lot of congestion. And we found it! Having a 4 month old along with a couple of 3 year olds make it tough to travel distances, so this lovely location on Lake Chautaqua worked great. Oven issue was addressed promptly. Everything about and in the house was described accurately. Plenty of stuff to do within walking distance also. Lots of room, nice beds, well equiped kitchen and easy access to the lake."

The home is beautiful and fully stocked with everything you need. The master bedroom has a breathtaking view of the lake, and at night, the stars. "The Lightkeeper's Refuge is the perfect spot for a relaxing family vacation near the lake. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and the location was close to Presque Isle and a lot of great restaurant options and shopping. Communication with the host was great and they checked in with us throughout our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. "

"I waited until 30 minutes after check in to get the entry combination. No response from home owner. Called VRBO and kept getting disconnected. When finally talked to someone it took 30 minutes to find out the owner decided to pull the house from the rebtal claiming VRBO did not pay him. We had to book two hotel rooms foe the two adult couples at 3 times the cost due to last minute rates. It was 40 miles away. What a disappointment. I got a refund but was stranded without many options."

"This property was perfect in every way for our trip. Beautiful house, very clean, everything you could need was available. Roomy and private spaces, abundant deck with views, modern kitchen with new appliances. Three showers, plenty of hot water and towels. We cooked every meal and not once couldn’t find something: blender for smoothies, colander for pasta, ice cubes, even some cumin for taco night. Our group ranged in ages 74 to 6 year olds. Everyone had a great time walking to Sandy beach...
