Deborah the host was amazing! She replied to messages within seconds and when we had an issue with the toilet she had someone there within 30 minutes to address it. House was perfect with a great comfortable couch. Since it rained all weekend we spent more time on the couch than intended.

It was a beautiful place to stay at for our short vacation down. There was a dog park not that far from the place which was great to have for us first thing in the morning to take our dog let loose before our long walks through historic Charleston. The only issues we had were the inability to turn of the external lighting which shinned through the windows at night and slightly obscured our sleep as well as not being to connect to the internet. The internet was provided but due to all the security measures connected to house it wouldn’t allow us to connect, stating there where to many devices connected at this time. For me and my significant other and our service animal it wasn’t an issue since we were just there for a night and had service it wasn’t an issue. But the owner Deb was very responsive and I believe if I pushed the matter to the attention something could have been done to fix the issues.

Private and clean

Our stay was great. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. The property was fenced in and private. Easy to locate and everything to do in Charleston is 18 minutes away.

Comfortable

Our stay was comfortable from beginning to end. The house was clean and organized upon arrival and the rules are simple and easy to follow. I was a little nervous about the location but quickly got over my unease as we didn’t have any issues. The location was actually perfect for the purpose of our stay as my daughter was attending a dance competition at the convention center and we were only 7 minutes away. Can’t beat the convenience!

Definitely an option

Owner is very proactive and responsive. The home is in wonderful condition and perfect for 3 adults. The location is directly next door to CVS (as in the parking lot faces the side of the house). The house has a security system per the manual if someone opens or breaks a window you will be notified. Our group of 3 ladies enjoyed the home, as it is well stocked and clearly taken care of by the owner, but would likely pick a home in a set neighborhood next time.

Felt like home! Thoughtful touches everywhere!

Some rentals feel like rentals; Katie's House felt like a home. My family gathered here for Thanksgiving because one family member lives in North Charleston. While the immediate neighborhood isn't beautiful (the house is right next door to a CVS), the house is welcoming and wonderful once you're inside. We were very comfortable hanging in the living room, dining area and kitchen. We also needed to sit six people for Thanksgiving dinner, and the table was more than adequate. The bedrooms are fresh and clean, and we all appreciated the remote controls for the ceiling lights and fan. There are thoughtful touches throughout: nightlights in the bathrooms, large towels, and toiletries. The living room has comfy furniture and a soft rug. All the window shades are new and work well. There's plenty of light during daylight hours. Most important to me was the kitchen. This was easily the most well-equipped kitchen I've seen in any rental. I actually cooked five Thanksgiving dishes from scratch in this kitchen! Glass baking dishes, baking sheets, utensils, a mixer, pots, pan, an air fryer, a combination coffee maker/Keurig, an icemaker in the freezer, plenty of plates and bowls. It was just so comfortable! Deb the owner was VERY responsive and kind. I had a brain fart about the entry code, and she couldn't have been more gracious. She also helped out with a difficult family member who needed to check in a bit early. (Obviously, she can't always do that, but it was a godsend for us.)

Love it here!

I can’t say enough good things about this house… it’s adorable, super clean, very close to great restaurants & parks but far enough that it’s so quiet at night. Mrs Deborah was always quick to respond to my messages and always so sweet! Will definitely try to visit this adorable home again if we’re ever in this area! Thank you Mrs Deborah for sharing your home with us!

Great for a girls getaway!

Deborah responded quickly to messages and check in was smooth. Inside of the house was clean. Great for a girls trip, if you don’t mind driving a bit. Places and travel times for us (Fri-Sun) 20 mins to Mt Pleasant, 40 to Folly Beach and 30 to Downtown Charleston. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the utensils you’d need. Great for making breakfast and snacks. Place was clean. A note for those who care: air freshener plug ins used (we unplugged and plugged back in before checking out) and Wi-Fi box is in a bedroom.

Commercial location

It’s obvious they have done work on the house and it has everything you would need. They were very good about communicating. The only problem we had with the house is the location. Other then a GREAT dog park down the street it was too commercial for us. We didn’t really feel a part of what makes Charleston so special.

Birthday Getaway

I found this property for my birthday getaway. I wanted it to be special with my mom and sisters since we had not been together in years. We all enjoyed our stay and the house had everything we needed to be comfortable, prepare meals in, or go out and explore Charleston. There is plenty to do and see, and the beaches are not too far. I hope to return to Charleston and I would be happy to stay here again!

Beautiful home in a convenient location

Beautiful remodeled home and an exact match to the pictures on the site! Location was perfect too with just 15 minutes to downtown Charleston and 30-45 minutes from beaches. Home had all amenities listed and a fully stocked kitchen . The host even provided beach towels and blankets!! Great experience overall!

Great weekend getaway and close to so much!

The house was perfect for a couples getaway weekend! It had all amenities you could need while there and the location was close to everything! Minutes to the Park Circle area, a quick drive into Mt. Pleasant and just a little further into downtown Charleston. Great spot and will rent again for our next trip!

Beautiful clean home, nicely renovated

Katie's Grandmother's house is really nicely renovated - looks just as pictured and described. The house is about a 15 drive to the bay area/King Street in Charleston, and in a nice quiet neighborhood. there is a CVS right next to the house (which closed early, so no noise) and a nice Italian deli in the shops down the street from the house. Security is great in the home, the yard is fenced, helpful for my dog, and the dog park down the street was great as well. We had a wonderful weekend in Charleston, and thank you for opening your home to us.

Great stay

Vacation with friends

House was clean and well stocked. Only thing is getting in the front the steps aren’t the same height our friend uses a cane and it was difficult to get up and down the back door is a much better.

Charleston getaway

Modern, clean, remodeled and comfortable. Very well stocked!

Had a wonderful experience renting Katie's house. Very close to the airport, convention center, shopping and dining and not too far from the beaches and downtown. Very well stocked kitchen, beach towels, coolers soaps, shampoo, lotion, washer/dryer. So much more than the average VRBO that we've stayed at. Debbie, the owner, kept in contact throughout our stay. Beds were clean, comfortable and fairly new. House matched the pictures exactly.

Family friendly, quiet location.

The house had everything you would need to make it a safe and enjoyable trip. Kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, baking dishes, coffee maker, toaster and crockpot. House was clean, linens provided and the host was gracious and helpful. Be sure to visit the Italian market within walking distance.
