"Very poor customer service. I made my reservation two weeks in advance and expected the hotel to honor my booking. On the day of check-in, my flight was delayed, so I called the hotel and spoke with the manager. I explained that I would be arriving late, and she assured me that it would not be a problem.
When I finally arrived, the receptionist informed me that the hotel was sold out and that my room had been given away. I was told they had tried to contact me but could not find my phone...

"I enjoyed our stay very much. All The room face a quiet little courtyard with plenty of seating. The room was clean; the beds were comfortable; the air conditioning worked without issues. The room has a small coffee maker and coffee, and a hair dryer. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach, a Dairy Queen and Overview Diner. (I highly recommend breakfast at Overview Diner!). The staff/owners are available 24/7 and helpful."

"After a very late night flight was cancelled - I called the Hotel to see if they accepted dogs, they said yes, so I pre-paid for the room . After a 20 min uber ride in the pouring rain the hotel turned me away at 1am because I had a dog. The man at the desk was incredibly rude -and the lobby smelled like marijuana. The photos of the listing DO NOT represent this hotel. It is more like a homeless shelter. I would AVOID at ALL costs."

"The hotel is very well located in Downtown Norfolk, making it convenient for restaurants, attractions, and exploring the area.
The property could benefit from some renovations and updates. The customer service staff were friendly and courteous; however, they were unable to resolve an issue involving a supposed double check-in that appeared in their system when there was actually only one stay.
Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider staying here again for a couple of nights...

One out of three elevators was operating while we were there, and it was so slow that we took the staff elevator a few times. "The Hotel it self was great nice and clean but my wife and I was given a room that was not ready at all or swept properly. The bed was most definitely comfortable, the a/c & heating was on point and the hot water OMG was just great. My wife did bring her PS5 and we had trouble connecting it to the hotel wifi but we weren't really bothered by it because our main focus was enjoying all the activities outside of the hotel.
