Great old house! Tons of room for our whole family and a nice yard for the dogs. The kitchen is typical for an older home (small) and the morning sun is bright! The back deck is great for enjoying that sun!There is only one working shower so that was a bit inconvenient but we made it work. The beds are all pretty firm, some liked and some didnā€™t. Overall not much to complain about. We had a great time.

Cute house and great location for exploring the coast

This house is so cute and full of character and charm. It was a great spot to explore the Oregon coast for the week. We explored the dunes, Arago state park, the redwoods, and cape Perpetua, with activities ranging from sea kayaking, whale watching, ATVs and vintage shopping. The house has a beautiful and well equipped kitchen, a great family room and popcorn machine for movie nights, and spacious bedrooms. Only wish it had one more full bath. But our group of 8 made it work!

Sweet little get a way

The home looks small on the outside but is actually very spacious. Pet friendly, modern amenities, turn if the century charm. Perfect middle spot for day trips along the coast to the north and south.

Home with character

We stayed in this home with several family members for a memorial service for my grandfather. We found the property easy to find. Easy instructions, and was in a quiet neighborhood. There was lots of space and everything was updated. There was room for us to sit on the patio and also build a fire on the day that it was nice out. The only part of the house I didnā€™t like was the basement. It was pretty cold and creepy lol but most old homes are like that. There were plenty of extra blankets and towels for everyone. We definitely enjoyed the home. The only thing Iā€™d say that could be done differently is the living room tv is sort of a safety hazard, but thatā€™s an easy fix! We really enjoyed our stay.

Golfers Trip

Older House with Modern Features

First thing to note is there is only 1 working shower. The pictures are incorrect. The upstairs shower head is capped off due to a leak causing damage to master bedroom below on main level. The bathtubs are fine, but use up all the hot water, so plan accordingly. Looking back at the reviews this has been an issue since Dec 14, 2023. Luckily, my family is flexible and goes with the flow. The other surprise was the oven not working. We were notified about this while driving with our cars full of perishable food on our way to the house. Looking at the lastest review, they were informed at least 8 days before we were checking in. After I inquired about compensation, Evolve did reimburse us a fair amount for the inconvenience. The house is older and has original doors with several layers of paint on them. This causes them to stick and make loud noises when opening/closing them. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Things we loved: The Jack & Jill full bathroom on the main level, the basement was perfect for the kids to play in and be loud, the living room had a lot of seating which we planned our days adventures in, the rooftop patio was perfect to use our portable BBQ on (no BBQ to use at house), other than the oven not working we still loved how modern and organized the kitchen was, and our favorite was having 3 levels for everyone to spread out in on those rainy days. The kids had a blast with all of the toys. Very thankful for a fun week with the family.

Sunny weekend

Very enjoyable. Roof top deck was wonderful in the afternoon. Beds were great. Our friend plays piano so the baby grand was appreciated. We went crabbing and had a crab feast on Saturday evening. Did St Patrickā€™s day dinner with no Soda Bread. The oven wasnā€™t working. Notified the owner. Table on the deck could use a couple more chairs. One chair at kitchen table was falling apart. No functional shower in upstairs bath was not convenient. Overall house was clean and quaint.

Great Spot in Such a Cool Neighborhood

This house was awesome. Plenty of room for the 8 of us. Teenagers loved the neighborhood and the store with the good sandwiches 2 blocks away. Short drive to the Casino but you can walk almost anywhere if you wanted. We will be back!

Beautiful home . Perfect for our family with 7 adults and 5 small children . Close to Charleston which is where we spend all our time . Could have used an extra skillet (there was only 1) but thatā€™s nitpicking . Highly recommend the home

Beautiful Historic Home Stay

We had such a great time staying in this house with our extended family. The basement was setup perfectly to entertain kids or to relax and watch a movie. The house has so much character and history but also nice bathroom and kitchen upgrades. We went for nice walks in the neighborhood and were a short drive away from exploring downtown Coos Bay. Would highly recommend!
