"The front desk lady was very nice to give us activities around the area and they were such good places to visit! We went to the lavender fields that she recommended and it was very fun!"

"Our room had been recently remodeled and was in great shape. The room was very clean and quiet. It's not a fancy place but a nice and comfortable place to lodge. It's only a short drive (7 minutes) to downtown Gaylord but still off the beaten track. We enjoyed our time at Dixon Resort and would recommend it. "

"It is one of the nicer places to stay in Charlavoix. I will return in the future. We did have a problem when checking in. Edgewater said we didn't have a reservation and they do not online booking. I did have a confermation from Hotels.com when I booked my stay. Edgewater did have vacancies so I was still able to get a room. I did call Hotels.com and ask them and they confirmed I did have a reservation and called Edgewater. Dewatering did tell they dot do online e booking so this made no sense....

"The rooms are suites with eating area, wet bar, couch, fireplace and porch looking out on nature. Only 10 rooms in the lodge. There are many walking trails and you can circle the whole lake in less than 1.5 miles. Wonderful food and there is a small snack shop. Bring your own wine for dinner. Very very nice secluded spot. "

"Four of us stayed in the Family Suite with the 2 bedrooms and we loved it! Very clean and comfortable. The pool was great too - very clean and without the old chlorine stink of a lot of other hotel/motel pools. Close enough to downtown Traverse City to make it easy to get to. Very friendly and attentive staff. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're up this way."
