"Good location, great view, great space. Couple of things let it down. You can see they do a clean between visitors but there is no sign of deep cleans. So much dust/stains. Seeing all that dust meant I didn’t trust the kitchen to be clean and only used it to make a cup of tea after washing the cup. It might have been clean but maybe it wasn’t. It is a bit of a shock when you walk into the property as there is low light and black walls with intense looking faces. Felt unsafe on initial approach....
"I booked for three nights but left after two. It was very basic budget accommodation and that was fine - financially it was a good deal. However, the hotel is situated on Bathurst Street, which is one of the city's traffic sewers. The windows are originals and provide no protection from noise. Hence I was awoken by very loud trucks both mornings at 4 am and could not go back to sleep. There should be a curfew on the wretched things but that's another story. "A lovely old homestead surrounded by welcoming lawn and gardens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious & charmingly rustic. It suited the needs of our extended family of 7 adults & 4 children.
