There are several hiking opportunities near the cottage. Valdres offers many great hiking opportunities within a short drive. There are also plenty of skiing opportunities here. If you take a drive to the Valdres area, there are more opportunities to stop at local producers and buy locally produced food.

Fishing in Valdres is a familiar concept to many, and not without reason. There are countless small and large fishing lakes in Valdres, with good opportunities to catch nice mountain trout, perch or whitefish. Try Strandefjorden or Neselva in Nord Aurdal municipality, among others. Valdres also has the most open chairs in all of Northern Europe, and many of them are open to the public in the summer. Hiking and biking among the stables is a popular activity and a great way to combine nature and cultural experiences.

The area also has several waterfalls that can be easily reached for a visit on a day trip. There are opportunities for disc golf and golf for those who want it in the area. Canoes can be rented free of charge. In the summer there is also an outdoor shower at the cottage that can be used.
