"We booked this property last minute and quite late at night due to a change of plans. The owner was very quick to get a room sorted for us, despite it being so late. The room was clean, comfortable, and the property was very peaceful. A lovely family-run guest house that provides a relaxing stay. "

"The apartment is well situated. Just a short walk to Mirissa Beach. The owner is very friendly and gave us a warm welcome. Nice quality for reasonable pricing. Breakfast was good. "

"Probably the best location, right in front of the main entrance to the beach, and from the balcony we get a full view of Mirissa beach. We were on the 3rd floor."

"We had amazing stay at Ubuntu. From manager to housekeeping all staffs were helpful. This place puts customer service above all. Shout out to Vishaw, Indika and kitchen staff for going above and beyond. Besides great staff, hotel is located at quaint beach where you can spot turtles at night. They even had baby turtle releasing event in the evening. Overall I highly recommend this boutique hotel. We had great experience. "

"The place is difficult to find, after booking they should send an email with a map to get there. The room is basic but clean. Good size room and bathroom. There is a fan but not a/c and during the night it is quite hot. Only cold water. There is a mosquito net but it is too short so mosquitoes get in the sleeping area. Basic breakfast with bread, jam, bananas and tea. They could provide sri Lankan breakfast if requested. It is possible to use a sort of sun bed provided at the first...

"Stayed for two weeks in September 2023. For starters, the host family at Talalla Freedom are wonderful. Helpful, friendly, adjusted to my food allergies, went over and beyond. Rs 250 for a pot of fresh tea. The pool is lovely and well kept, the view and access to Talalla beach is phenomenal (as long as you don't have any mobility issues. Beds are Sri Lanka firm but comfy. You can sit in a nice recliner with your tea and watch the monkeys walk by. The birds in the area are beautiful. Be aware...

"It was a lovely place with very nice hosts and a nice clean room with a comfy bed. It is close to the beach and is located in the city, but away from the noisy road. The welcome drink is delicious, as well as the food they serve ☺️"
