"This may be my all time favorite of all the hotels I’ve stayed at! It’s maybe not for everyone but it oozes history and it felt like stepping back in time. The staff is really wonderful and were amazing. The beds super comfortable and the room had an amazing view of the river and mountains. If you’re a nostalgist like me you won’t be disappointed. "

"The house is very lovely and clean. The most important touristic sites are nearby. Yoshiko, the host, is a very kind lady. She picked us up at the station and brought us to the house. She also left fruits, bread, orange juice, butter and yogurt for our breakfast. It was a wonderful stay."

"Hotel familiar de pessoas muito simpáticas e colaborativas apesar de não falarem inglês. O hotel é muito bem localizado perto do templo, o quarto é amplo, bem iluminado. Os banheiros são fora do quarto, porem muito limpos. Recomendo. "

"For a supposed 2 star rated hotel was well above that, on par with 3 star anywhere in Australia. Room was very comforable and bed was biggest I have ever slept in, could have fitted 4 people easy."

"I really love this hotel! The staff were kind and lovely, even though I’m not very good at communication. I stayed in Room 406, which had a window and a door leading out to the balcony — I absolutely loved it! There’s a Family Mart right across from the hotel, and it’s not far to walk from the train station. It was also very convenient to walk to the large supermarket in town. If I ever come back to Nikko, I will definitely stay here again."
