"We found the Belmont House Hotel easily, and the staff were very welcoming when we arrived. The hotel itself is lovely, with tasteful décor, and our room was comfortable.
Unfortunately, our stay was quite affected by the noise that evening. The bar was closed for a private event, and there was loud music and quite a bit of rowdiness both outside and around the main lobby area. As a result, it was very difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

"We arrived to our room to find a half eaten packet of biscuits and an opened and used shower gel . When we tried to log onto the WiFi following the room information sheet it didn’t work and we were told it was all lower case not upper case as the sheet stated . "It was our 3rd 5 day annual visit since marine and lawn took over.
We have always moaned about the lack of drawer space in our room, but this time, things seemed to have slipped a bit further. The room wasn’t serviced till after 4pm, the breakfast buffet was cold every day, the spa and pool was closed for a whole day without warning. There was daytime drilling noise for 2 days. While the staff are wonderful, all they do is say sorry. They don’t seem to have any authority to smooth complaints...
