Breakfast was meh (no eggs, bacon, not even waffles like everyone else has), pastries were stale and coffee container wasn’t refilled. Room was nice with maid service everyday, which seems to be dying everywhere else.

The restaurants in the area are abysmal! I did not try the hotel bar/restaurant but it smelled decent so next time in town for work I will give it a go. There are tons of restaurants but mostly chain restaurants and even the chain places are MID at best. Beautiful hotel and the staff should get 6 ...

Comfort Inn Newport News - Hampton I-64
We were greeted by the friendliest person in Newport News -- I wish I got her name. The rooms were great and we were able to stay next door to one another. Missed the dining options as we had other plans. Definitely our favorite place to stay in Newport News.
