It was nice although I did think that the room was a bit small. The bed was very comfy though.

A great night at Le Petit Chateau
We stayed at Le Petit Chateau to celebrate a friend's wedding. Our room, 20, was on the first floor and overlooking the carpark but we were not there for the views. The room features a rustic bed with logs for legs. The paintwork was a dark bluey green on two walls with exposed brickwork to the others. Subdued lighting with hanging lights at either side of the bed and a low wattage ceiling lamp. There was a small wardrobe housing the safe, hair dryer and fan with limited but enough hanging space. Complimentary Marlish water was provided along with Belgian chocolate snacks and a pack of local shortbread biscuits, tea and coffee choices too. The bathroom was exposed brickwork, large bathsheets and handtowels were provided. A marbled handbasin along with a toilet and a large shower. Flooring was stone flags finished it off.. complimentary qualitiy soaps and shampoos were plentiful. We were there for a wedding party downstairs with entertainment. There were short delays in being served at times but no drama. A great night was had by all. Our room was quiet and before I knew it, it was time to head down for breakfast. Tea and coffee were offered and a great choice of breakfast was available to order,.I had the Hadrian's Wall full English though there were many options including Vegan and GF.

Next day after booking a non-refundable room, we were informed by email from the hotel that a function was happening that day and half the hotel including lounge area would be inaccessible and that there may be excessive noise. The function was a wedding and our room was right above. Exceptional noise all afternoon into the evening including live band. We stayed in the restaurant as long as we could as there was no where else open to us in the hotel. At 10 pm we went to our room and immersed ourselves in the noise until it ended at 12 pm. I complained next day and in as many words was told tough. I explained we wouldn’t have stayed had we had a refund option. Reception staff said this option was on their email. I have checked, a lie, no refund option offered. Food was good, but shan’t be back. Beware booking if not part of a wedding party.

I would recommend this location for a peaceful stay, comfortable/firm beds great bath and shower pressure, and temperature control. Based on my experience of the dining situation I wouldn't recommend the pub if I'm honest. the service wasn't great, it seemed as if our patronage was somewhat bothersome, took awhile to be seated and even longer for our order to be taken on what appeared to be a somewhat quite evening.

Vastly overpriced/ No hot water until 9.15am. Breakfast just warm but NOT hot. Not as clean as we expected Dingy, needs decorating Better value at Premier Inn Daughter went to a Bed and Breakfast down the road, far better at half the price

Amazing venue and great friendly staff, would definitely recommend a stay there. The pub does great food and the rooms are very comfortable with lovely added touches. The grounds are spectacular.

Expectations in all areas prior to arriving were met for a 2 night stay. Food exceeded this however for both breakfast and tea (didnt have lunch), compliments to the chef/s. Room size could be challenging for anyone 6 foot+, unfortunately that didnt apply to me. It was quite a hot couple of night's and the reservation mentioned air con but the room didnt have this, just a desk fan, which was disappointing. The overall lighting in the place was quite dark, assuming to create a ambiance, however I would suggest brightening this up slightly. 3.5 /5

Okay but nothing spectacular
I went for a wedding which was executed perfectly. The rooms are super small and really dark so getting ready and putting on makeup was hard without a torch of phone light. The rooms don't have much space and there are cobwebs and dust in them. There is only one chef so it takes around 45 mins to 1 hour to get served breakfast. Shops close around 7:30pm during the week and the bar is quite expensive. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

Have stayed before and was just as happy second time around. the place / rooms /bars etc. are all excellent but to me the staff make it all the more special. even more so in these testing times. from reception to table service, all were undertaken with a smile.

Lovely hotel and breakfast.
The room was amazing and it was absolutelly spotless! The tv wasn't working, but that didn't bother us. Breakfast was delicious and the girls there were so friendly! Had dinner at the pub and had many issues on that side (long wait, dirty, overcharged)! Would definetly come back and just have dinner somewhere else.

Oppulant and welcoming isolation
Great place situated in idealic isolation. Visited during the pandemic so the vibe was subdued but that was obviously understandable. The decor is oppulant without being tacky, dark and moody. Outside is an impressive garden space, lots of fire pits, places to sit away from groups. The food was good, simple menus with enough diversity and choice for our two night stay. Breakfast too was nice. Cannot fault the staff, amazingly friendly and helpful, amongst the best I've experienced. All in all, the place is a solid 8 and I would recommend.

Amazing William De Percy Hotel
Beautiful Hotel with amazing gardens. Everything Emma’s perfect for a quite night away in Northumberland. We had a Sunday Dinner which was beautiful and I highly recommend.

So nearly excellent
We stayed for 3 nights and were very impressed by the service. All staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and the dinners good. The room was quirky but could have benefited from somewhere to hang damp towels and from a full length mirror. The lighting was poor so putting on make up was difficult. The main reason I have not given an excellent score however was the busy road which woke us in the mornings. The hotel has been modernised but there is no secondary/double glazing. Luckily the road is not busy until about 6am.

Lovely romantic hotel with added style.
The hotel has a quirky charm to it due to the shabby chic decor. All the rooms are unique which was a nice detail. The quality of the linen and towels all appeared top quality so made for a very pleasant stay. We found the breakfast menu to be 5* with a choice to suit most. We had an evening meal here too which was also excellent. Its a a fantastic location for a romantic night or two away and I feel certain be back in the future.

Unusual but delightful hotel, definitely worth it.
From the front you would never believe what’s behind the door. Individually decorated and ‘quirky’ rooms, we were in the old part of this Inn. Breakfast was lovely, buffet and then an unusual choice of cooked food served to the table. We didn’t eat dinner here but the standard of breakfast would suggest it would be very nice. Going to the other end of the hotel is a lovely area where they hold weddings, a bar, massive function room, a beautiful room for the ceremony and delightful gardens. It was November so didn’t use the garden but there were fire pits. We weren’t there for a wedding but there were 2 taking place which meant no access to this end so I’m not sure how often the bar and lounge at that end is open to general guests. We had a ‘petite’ room which was really tiny, suggest you upgrade from these, but staff were all friendly and helpful, definitely worth a stay. Situated in a small village where there are lots of walks and picturesque countryside so a good base for walkers but not a lot else there.

Excellent staff. Bit of confusion during checking in, but it was hotels.com that was at fault and the hotel staff recifued the situation very quickly. Highly recommend a break here.

Beautiful
Lovely room with so many extras for comfort such as shortbread , bed comfortable but low and breakfast manu next morning fab and even when I asked for no holandaise sauce wasn’t a problem. Only let down was no toilet brush in bathroom.
