Fresh towels and toiletries were attentively refilled on the second day even without us requesting. The breakfast was delicious too, there were beautiful flowers and trees in the garden behind the restaurant. Both our baby and our dog enjoyed their time there."

"Absolutely appalling, the tiny room smells of damp and is essentially a health risk with mouldy ceilings and one very rusty oil heater. Dimly lit bathroom which again is another risk. We removed ourselves from the hotel (probably wrong choice of word) and booked ourselves into a hotel in the centre, Wetherspoons Hotel was fabulous. I raised with Hotels.com who had failed to help with my refund request. "

"Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay."

"The room was clean and the staff friendly. I probably would not come here again mainly because they do not serve breakfast. Their website states that breakfast is made to order and I recall seeing it on the expedia page but then was notified a day before about where to go for food instead. I asked on arrival and they have not served breakfast in 3 years. Inconvenient but not the end of the world. The shower had someone else's soap in it and the body wash was never renewed after use. The window...

"The hotel was ok for our 2 night stay. Bed was comfy. Tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer, iron were all good additives. Bathroom toilet was a little small but ok. Shower was hot and powerful. Breakfast was good. But a bit pricey. Walls a bit thin, guy in next room snoring and we could hear."

"We stayed in the Double room with a view to die for! It was cosy and had everything you need. The staff were so lovely and friendly and Breakfast was just right! We would definitely stay here again, only thing was, we didnt have a couple more nights ! "

"Room was large, big bathtub. One corner of the room had moisture damage, and mold, perhaps from a roof leak or condensation. Pub was cosy. Food tasty. There is nothing else to do in Sandhutton. A critter scampering, and chewing in the attic above our room kept us awake most of the night. "
