"This was a last minute getaway for my husband and I. We were very happy with the property. The price was reasonable, the staff was friendly and helpful. The Location was convenient for the beach and all that the area offers. The bed was comfortable and loved that it had free parking. Much better property than the place we stayed at a couple years ago that was right on the beach boulevard. We look forward to staying here again."

"Very unique hotel with friendly staff, specially the breakfast chef who greeted us in portuguese in the second morning. Decoration is just perfect. Location is excellent with restaurant and shops nearby and a lovely place to walk by the Merrimac river. Will stay again, definitely."

"A very sweet old inn. The magnolia room was very clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious. I enjoyed the coffee station right outside the door and the bottled water in the min-fridge was a nice bonus. The shared bathroom was newly updated and very clean. The front porch rockers were lovely to sit and read. There is currently no food on site so bring your own or dine out- the owners provide a good book of suggestions. It’s an easy .6 mile walk to beautiful North Beach which is much less crowded...

"The room was adorable and well-appointed…newly renovated. We loved the colors, the layout, the fridge, the Nespresso, and the large balcony. A very comfortable stay. The shower was extremely small, and we are petite women. The beach is not one for sunbathing as it has huge rocks all over…but the area behind this property is super cute. "First of all, if you book this property you're going to get hundreds of messages from the host prior to even going with several forms to fill out and online check-ins to complete and upgrades to buy, etc. We paid $269 for one night plus an extra $50 for a pet plus they then wanted extra money to check in early or check out late or reserve parking because there's only 3 parking spots in the back (for A LOT of rooms). "Can’t really comment on the rooms because we didn’t get to stay. Staff told us they couldn’t locate our bookings upon arrival and told us we are the 6th group that night. Apparently the hotel was overbooked. Staff said it’s an Expedia problem not theirs. He also told us it took another man 2 hours to solve the problem with Expedia. It took us 1 hour 38 mins on the phone with Expedia for them to find us a “compatible” replacement."
