My comments are not about this apartment but about Blueground, who rents the apartment through a Vrbo listing. Our reservation was canceled via an email message (no phone call) 24 hours before move-in because the previous renter had reportedly damaged the property.We were given two alternatives, one of which was too small and had stairs. The other was further up on the Upper West Side, and we ended up taking that. The poor ratings I'm giving are for Blueground, whose customer service is poor to non-existent -- some of the worst I've ever experienced, honestly. If the apartment listed is anything like the Blueground one we ended up in, all I can say is that the furnishings were done on the cheap (lots of Amazon Basics) and the kitchen was not particularly well-equipped (far worse than any other short-term rental we've had). And, I should add, the Blueground employee who'd informed us that the apartment we'd secured was not available, said that she thought the alternative had better furninshings!When we arrived (again, this is for a different Blueground apartment), one bedroom had a non-functioning air conditioner (in July), there were burn marks on the wall next to the stove, and part of the floor was coming up in the foyer. We had to extend our stay in the rental and asked if we could secure another month, Blueground said sure but doubled the rent, claiming "market fluctuations."Vrbo is great. But we will never, ever use Blueground again under any circumstances.
