A charming yet modern apartment 45 minutes to Manhattan. Corp/Long-term welcome

Suite142 1R is a charming 2BR apartment located in the tree lined neighborhood of East Flatbush with close access to Barclay's Center, MetroTech Center, Park Slope, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Navy Yard, and the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal and only 45 minutes from Manhattan. This deluxe rental features two (2) large bedrooms (with a queen-sized bed), ample closet space, a flat screen TV, cable, computer, a DVD player, internet, central A/C, and ceiling fan for extra circulation and comfort. There is also a large living room with a sofa/futon that sleeps one (1). The bathroom is stylishly decorated. We provide complimentary toiletries so you don't have to bring your own. Our kitchen is equipped with a range/oven, refrigerator and microwave/mini-convection oven along with cookware, utensils and dinnerware. Suite142 1R is closely located to the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Prospect Park (including the Zoo), Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Barclays Center, Brooklyn Bridge Park and Eastern Parkway. We are 45 minutes from Downtown Manhattan (Wall Street, One World Trade Center, Battery Park, South Street Seaport and a small hop to Governor’s Island (by ferry from Brooklyn Bridge Park). We verify the identity of first-time guests by photo ID upon arrival. We are walking distance to SUNY Downstate Medical School, Kings County Hospital and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.

Could have been better

The listing stated that Parking was going to be available. There was No Parking. Only street Parking but it take hours to find one near by the apartment. The Renters above us had two little Kids. It sounds like a Horse Track above us from 5:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. But I managed to keep the family busy so we can enjoy our stay.

Great location and lovely apartment

this was a lovely, spacious, and tidy apartment. We were impressed with the size of the kitchen and the amenities in the unit. It can be tough to find good places to stay in and around East Flatbush, and we were happy to have this place. We will definitely plan on renting it again, next time we’re in town.

Weekend stay

The property delivered as-advertised. Three of us stayed to attend the US Open. The 2 bedrooms were roomy and main living area comfortable. Only complaint was the mattress on the bedroom to the right as you entered was on the way too firm side and a little lumpy. Parking was a bit of a challenge but that is to be expected in an urban/city environment.

Awesome stay at Brooklyn

We had an great stay at Brooklyn. Apartment was very clean and looked just like in pictures. We especially liked the clean and good kitchen and bathroom. Parking is a difficulty in there but if you are ready to walk few blocks, everything will be fine. Overall it was and 10/10 stay.

Great Hidden Surprise

The apartment was amazing. It had all the amenities you would need. The shower is to die for! Love the privacy, each room had it's own TV. It's cozy, comfortable, and quiet. A car is needed to get around. We did feel safe walking around. We had a special event and everyone was so accommodating. We can't say how grateful and helpful everyone was. My only recommendation is that at least extra mirrors be added in the rooms. The stay was great and we hope to book again next year.

Our family spent 5 nights in this awesome and cozy apartment during spring break. Owner, Reggie, was courteous and nice when we arrived. We have no complaints about the apartment. This was a very good vacation stay from start to finish.

The apartment was exactly as described. The rooms were neat, clean, and spacious. The host was gracious and checked to ensure that we were comfortable. The apartment included a kitchen with amenities that helped to make our stay enjoyable. The TV’s and Internet worked well during our stay. Vaughn, Wendell, and Wendell’s wife were able to resolve any issues we encountered. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking to visit N.Y. The parking was always challenging due to the apartment being located in a busy residential neighborhood. I would recommend an update for the linens and pillows. The water in the shower stalled and leaked onto the rug in the bathroom. Overall: Very good stay!!!!!!

Good value for families

The apartment itself was very good value. It was as pictured on the site, with good sized bedrooms, bathroom and a good living space. Check in process went well and the host was responsive and helpful. We had a problem with Wifi, which was solved promptly but it was still slow and patchy for us throughout our stay. The fridge could have been cleaner as well. However overall good family accommodation in Brooklyn.

Perfectly AMAZING...However, had some minor challenges

I write reviews because its imperative for many travelers with families to know the details. It really deserves a 5 STAR, but our challenges must be mentioned. The review has three points. 1) absolutely amazing stay 2nd) anxiety provoking and 3) suggestions with love. 1) ABSOLUTELY AMAZING STAY: The apartment is absolutely beautiful! It looks exactly like the photos. Extremely clean and tidy. I selected the apartment for the bathroom. It has all of the amenities of your home. e.g. cable, internet, flat screen tv in each room including the living room; pots to cook, utensils for cooking; plates etc.. The two bedrooms with fresh smelling linen was great. A little secret, the bedroom on the left has an extremely comfortable mattress. Nonetheless, take the time and walk around the neighborhood, visit the fresh fruits & veggie markets, only about 5 to 6 blocks from the apartment. A must do! 2) ANXIETY PROVOKING: We drove from Chicago, Illinois. It takes about 12 to 13 hours with no stopping. If you stop for gas and food give or take add on additional hours. Our host was notified that we would possibly arrive around 5 or 6 pm. To no avail it was closer to 9 pm :( We downloaded the HomeAway app. The app displays the pertinent information along with the contact number of our host/owner. Two numbers appeared. They were both google numbers. When we called both of them, we received a respond..."wrong number, or no one with that name lives here"! So, of course we panic. I immediately contacted the VRBO customer service desk for further assistance. During that time the owner responded through the app to ask our eta.We had to ask for the direct number to communicate. We finally connected. THE PARKING IS HORRENDOUS! Lots of small driveways that take up a great deal of space. We parked 2 blocks away. The shower is warm not very hot. The apartment was cold. Unable to turn up the heat. The heat was on a timer. SUGGESTIONS WITH LOVE: a) As a business owner, I'm aware of excessive contacts or people having your personal number. Obtain a business cell phone for easy contacts in the future. b) I'm a night reader, place lamps on the night stands in each bedroom. c) Purchase a nice fold-away dining table with chairs for family meals. The counter space is okay for prepping meals, but not ideal for family gathering. d) More communication is needed on the app in future. Confusion on contact person Reggie or Vinette?

Perfect place

My family loved the place and we really had a great time staying at it. Just a couple of corners away from B46, which would take us to the 4 Train and that would take us everywhere. Good pricing food places around to take out or dine in, recommend the Jamaican place and the grocery store right a couple of corners made even better. The apartment is fully equiped and air conditioned, good to sleep in and the price is very affordable.

Very nice property!

Very clean and modern. Was a little cold when we first arrived, but soon warmed up and we was nice and toasty our entire visit. Parking was a hassle, but overall very nice.
