Great stay
We stayed for a weekend and it was a great time. Loved the hot tub, plenty of room for us, and our dog had a great time! Would absolutely stay again!

Quiet with NO LIGHT POLLUTION.
My husband and i loved this cabin. Then we had friends come the next day and they loved it. It was quiet, no cars, no light pollution so you could really see the stars while in the hot tub. My dog loved being able to have area to run and explore. Our host Gentry was friendly, quick to respond to any questions, concerns, or problems we had. We did not have any problems except one night the power went out. It was a very cold night. We ended up leaving a day early but Gentry did reimburse us for the night not used. He did get power restored but we were already 1 hour away from the property. We are planning to stay again next yr. If you need firewood...Ask Gentry! The trash receptacle is at the cabin next door. You will have everything you need and shopping is only 24 mins away if you do need more. Disclaimer: You are in a cabin in the woods and hills of Hocking Hills Ohio...There will be bugs. It is NOT a big deal! Since it was warmer there than in Indiana...We saw stink bugs, ladybugs and the occasional fly...nothing else. Once again...It's NOT that big of a deal! Moving on...Had a great time and will stay again. Thank You Gentry for your hospitality. The Reese's

OU family weekend stay
Last minute booking for OU family weekend. If you like no light polution and surrounded by nature this is for you! Pretty much no frills, but beautiful surroundings. Check in was easy, Gentry is a very pleasant and polite host. Went over everything very well. Cell service is pretty sketchy on the drive, but the wifi at the canin is solid.

Great host but the cabin was not clean
The host is very nice but there were hairs in the bed...a lot of hairs and unexpected bugs that arent just "in the woods" it has potential, just needs some TLC.

Nice and quiet
Gentry is a very nice host. Lives near by and looks out for you and your stay. Smoke detectors not inside cabin. Most lightbulbs in bedroom don’t work. Roaches in shower (but bugs are bugs in the woods), patio chairs are in a bad bad way (bring your own), hot tub was very nice and clean, inside very well kept. Older structure so don’t come thinking you’re getting the ritz. If you don’t like nature, skip this one. I love nature, so the coyotes, frogs, and birds were a welcomed sound. Also, the shared parking with cabin next door is t great. They park in same drive as you so the in and out can be annoying with headlights at night.

It was a great cabin to go and relax. Piece and quiet for sure. The hot tub was clean and so was everything in the cabin. Property owner is very nice abs accommodating. Would love to go back for longer!

Old house. Not updated. Only 1 shower. The loft was cool for the kids but steep staircase! Close driving proximity to state park but no where to walk on the property.

Amazing experience!!
Me & a couple of friends stayed here for a getaway weekend and it was perfect! Gentry was the nicest person and made the process super easy. He also responded to any questions super quick! The property was great and the hot tub was amazing! 100% would recommend to anyone and will definitely be back!

Celebration Surprise Birthday party
Everything we needed to make the party happen. Gentry was 100% there for our needs including having the cabin ready early. The hiking was awesome. Definitely plan a fall trip.

Fall Weekend
It was so nice that Gentry met us @ the cabin to show us around & go over things. Really wish all hosts were able to do this. Had all we needed for our stay. Cabin was comfy/cozy for the 5 of us & Mae the dog. Would definetly recommend. Would also recommend Lake Hope Lodge fantastic bbq - YUMMO!!

Boys Getaway
Cool spot surrounded by parks. Great getaway with my son and dog. Gentry the host was awesome. We had a blast going to Lake Hope State Park and just hitting the trails. Great bbq there too.

Very nice stay!
Very relaxing area. Property was perfect and cozy. Host was very accommodating! A suggestion I'd make to the host is to put some plastic containers in the kitchen area for leftovers. Or even some foil, saran wrap or baggies. Our stay was very enjoyable! We'd definately go back again.

Great owner and communication
The owner is so nice! Great communicator, makes everything easy. The AC died during our stay and he knocked himself out to get it working, really took a lot of care. The accuracy of the listing as far as the layout could be improved a bit. There are one and a half baths, not two, and the one with the shower is attached to the master bedroom. Also the master bedroom was the only queen bed - the rest were twins. Be aware the grill is not gas, it’s a hibachi like you’d find in a park - so BYO charcoal. Beautiful area - if you like the outdoors you won’t run out of things to do.

Absolutely amazing
If you want to get a nice cabin that is close to thousands of hiking trails....this is the one for you! The cabin was absolutely beautiful. The sites we seen while here were amazing as well. We will definitely be coming back and recommending.

Its a shack. Water pressure sucked, Hot tub leaked, beds are exactly like a pull out couch. We both hurt the next morning. Very flat pillows. A/C was broke. It SUCKED!!

Exactly what we were looking for!
We were looking for a way to get away without traveling during COVID and this cabin was perfect. We hiked around Lake Hope, we sat at the fire for hours. The hot tub was relaxing and the view off the back porch was a great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. Loved that we could bring the pup and connect to nature for a few days.

Great getaway for the husband and I
The pictures dont show how big this place really is! The upstairs is an open loft area with a divider in between the 4 sets of bunk beds that are up there along with a half bath. You have a master bed on the first floor with full bath. No tub just in case you need that but the hot tub worked great after a long day of hiking! Gentry was an amazing host, he was there to make sure we got in the cabin and went over everything with us! When we asked to purchase some fire wood for when we got back from hiking not only did he have it there, he started the fire for us to come to! I highly recommend JJ's Pizza and Subs in Nelsonville it was really good, next time we are getting their 29" pizza for the family! It was a perfect getaway for my husband and I to relax while being in nature! Definitely will be back with the family in the Summer or Fall time, the area is absolutely gorgeous!
