"When I came into the town of Shipshewana at 3ish I noticed that the traffic signals was not working and found out before checking in that there was no electricity in the entire town because of a storm overnight. So I went ahead and put my luggage in the room and continued on to my destination in town that had a generator running. I came back to the hotel at 8pm and found out that it still didn't have power. "Room was large and comfortable. We were there during a storm that took out power from the evening through the morning of our departure. The Inn had emergency lighting in the hallways but not in the rooms. Breakfast was very limited (no hot food or drink) because of the power outage."

"Charming property and has character. Love that it has stores and shopping on site. Resturant staff was so friendly and did an excellent job. Breakfest could be improved to think about those who are diabetic or have dietary need that are low carbs and sugar. Especially on Sunday morning, really struggled with options. Would stay there again."

"This hotel is relatively new and is just beginning to show some signs of wear like chipping here and there is the bathroom, scratches on the bedside table, small holes in the window blind. It is generally very quiet there and the walls seem to be thick enough to block out the TV or other normal sounds from adjacent rooms. If you value quiet, don't take a room on the first floor. It's too close to the lobby where people gather and play games, pool, etc in the evenings. In cold weather, I miss...
