Pelican Place is a spacious, traditional shotgun in the heart of New Orlean's centrally located Mid City neighborhood with nearby restaurants, bars, and attractions. This unit boasts beautiful old New Orleans features such as high ceilings, large windows with tons of natural light, and classic architecture. Pelican Place is well appointed with everything you will need for your stay including comfortable beds with high quality linens, a fully stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, and Wifi.
Spread out in this beautifully decorated, spacious unit featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with comfortable beds and linens, luggage racks and dressers as well as sound machines and ear plugs for sensitive sleepers.
Be sure to check out the floor plan of the home (in the photos) to familiarize yourself with how a shotgun style home is laid out. This is a traditional NOLA style of home where the rooms are laid out one behind another, requiring you to walk through each one to get from one end of the house to another.
The two full bathrooms have towels, a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You will find everything you need to cook or enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the newly remodeled kitchen. Relax in one of two great outdoor spaces including a quaint front porch, and a large backyard space. The large shared backyard has a picnic table and is great for pups! This home allows dogs (limit of 2) and they must be 25lbs or smaller. There is a nonrefundable fee for pets charged at the time of booking, so please be sure to include the pets on your reservation. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 fine in addition to the normal fee.

The house is located in the Mid City neighborhood of New Orleans which is just about as centrally located as you can get. Pretty much anything in the city is a 5-10 minute Uber ride and the Canal Street Streetcar line is only five blocks away. There are plenty of great restaurants and bars located in Mid City and the surrounding areas, some within walking distance. City park and some of the iconic New Orleans cemeteries are located in Mid City. The French Quarter (2.3 miles), Bourbon street (2.3 miles), Superdome (1.5 miles), and Convention Center (2.8 miles) are a short drive from the house. It is also a five block walk to the Endymion Mardi Gras Parade Route and two miles away from The Fairgrounds.

The Canal Street Streetcar line is a five block walk from the house and will take you downtown and to the Cemetaries. There is also a bus stop less than a block from the house. Pretty much anything is a 5-10 minute drive or Uber ride from the house.
**There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. *** 1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their airbnb profile.
2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We recommend being quiet after 8:30pm (weekdays including Sundays) and 9:00pm (weekends).
3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.
4. Clean towels are a provided amenity. Each guest listed through your reservation will receive 1 bath towel and 1 face towel. We are unable to fulfill requests for additional towels during the duration of your stay. Plan ahead while packing, please bring extra towels if you or any of your guests anticipate needing more.
5. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee. Please smoke outside of the property.
6. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. Exterior cameras present at the property to verify these laws/house rules are not broken. As of May 2022, Airbnb has specifically banned parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in a ban from Airbnb.
7. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.
8. Please do not use face towels to remove makeup, it damages the towels.
9. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.
10. This home allows dogs, limit of 2 and they must be 25lbs or smaller. There is a nonrefundable fee for pets charged at the time of booking, so please indicate pets when making your reservation. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 fine in addition to the normal fee.
11. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo” it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.
12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from “Locals” at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.
13. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.
14. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.
15. Message us for long term stays.
16. Trash is picked up on Monday.
17. All of our TV's are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV.
18. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know the day before and we will determine if it's possible. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. Payment will be requested through Airbnb after your additional time has been approved.
19. Lost Items: We return lost items for a $75 flat fee. This is to cover shipping costs, along with the time spent to retrieve & mail your item. If you leave anything at the unit, please let us know immediately.
