Beautiful, clean, great location, hot tub, fire pit, grill, large porches and excellent WIFI!
A tastefully decorated new Swedish-inspired build with 16 foot high ceilings, an open floor plan, large covered porches, fire pit and a private new hot tub. Inside find a beautiful living space consisting of locally-sourced oak and knotty pine walls, hickory flooring, cherry cabinets and lots of windows overlooking a vast forest. Enjoy colorful sunrises and sunsets from this hill top cabin that overlooks 91 acres of private woods.
There is fabulous hiking on our property's trails (find fairies in our whirly twirly fairy trail, get lost in the maze of confusion and hike the settler's grave yard). This property is adjacent to Waterloo Wildlife Area (2300 acres) and Zaleski State forest surrounds it. Explore the area (Lake Hope's Old Hollow Cave and Pioneer Cemetery trail is amazing). This property is in a great location between to a hip college town (Athens) and amazing Hocking Hills region.

Perfect for visiting Lake Hope State Park

I thoroughly enjoyed the property. The place is set up perfectly for a weekend getaway. I had easy access to wake. Hope State Park, where my family was having a family reunion. I would highly recommend.

Nice quiet location

The cabin is very nice and clean. Property is nice and quiet with a nice little trail. My wife and I came here with our dogs and they loved getting some sniffs in! Overall great experience and place to stay. Would recommend.

Excellent Getaway in Nature

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The location was quiet and secluded, the cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well stocked with kitchen supplies and linens. The porch faces the woods, which makes for a peaceful setting for your morning coffee or just hanging out. The hot tub was a great feature, which we used multiple times during our visit We didn't have any issues during our stay, but our only criticism would be that the wall units for heating/cooling were somewhat loud even when it's in "quiet mode". Not a huge problem. When we eventually make a trip back to the area, we will definitely look into this cabin again

Our stay was amazing! Wish we couldā€™ve stayed longer but we enjoyed the cabin very much. Perfect for a couples getaway or for a small family. We loved the proximity to Athens and all the hiking. The cabin was very clean and the response time from the owner was very quick. Would highly recommend!

Great time!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The big windows and doors offered a stunning view of the woods. The covered deck kept us cool in the sunny afternoons and also provided shelter as we watched a rainy evening blow in. An easy 15-20 minutes to stock up on groceries and grilling supplies. Our dogs had a great time visiting nearby Ash Cave. We hope to return again to enjoy other seasons here!

A Long Weekend of Rest

Peaceful, calming, and comfortable. The cabin lived up to all pictures. The porch looking into the woods was so relaxing. Loved the tall ceilings and wall of windows. This is one place we will keep saved for that quick trip out of town.

Relaxing

The cabin was perfect and had all of the things that we needed!There is so much natural light that comes in from the windows!Back porch and fire pit area were nice and easy with having dogs! There is a trail right behind the cabin and it was very enjoyable! We were happy to have met Dale! He is a great property assistant!

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view off the back deck. Hot tub was clean and enjoyable.Wished it would have been more isolated. It is right off the road, low traffic but you could hear it off the back deck.

Great getaway!

We enjoyed our stay here very much! It was very clean, very cozy and comfortable! The sun coming in the windows at sunset was beautiful! Everything youā€™ll need to cook in for breakfast, lunch and dinner was available, plenty of cooking utensils , pots, pans, plates etc. we would definitely stay here again!
