Beautiful and peaceful house in the mountains

This is a well equipped, very clean house in the mountains with an indoor fireplace. Everything functions well and the host responds quickly to any questions. It was an excellent stay.

Nice Getaway

We wanted to get away for a few days and this was definitely the place. The drive is nice, the property is beautiful, and it feels like there's no one around for miles (and there probably isn't). The house was cozy and clean, and it had all of the basic amenities. Definitely would recommend.

Cozy house with amazing views

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is cozy, the kitchen fully equipped and the fireplace in the living room adds to the overall charm. But what we liked the most was the deck and the unobstructed view of the valley / hill. We were lucky enough to get some fresh snow and we had a lot of fun sledding (on garbage bags:) down the hill behind the house. A big plus was also the very short distance (a few minutes drive) to Plattekill ski resort).

Just what my wife and I were looking for. Private, quiet house with a great view. Outdoor fireplace was great when it cooled down at night. A short drive to Margaretville for groceries, restaurants and other interesting shops. I'm sure we'll be back!

Excellent house and location! Very clean and well kept house and property! Diane was awesome!!

The house is very clean, well kept and in a super location! A short and beautifully scenic 15 min drive, and you could find anything your looking for in Margaretville. We will definately be returning for some winter SNOW fun!!

Perfect, cozy mountain getaway!

Check in was super easy, the location was secluded and beautiful, we enjoyed the fireplace and the fact they had things for our babies and toddler (highchair, pack n play, walker, toddler safe dishes, kids books and some toys.. we really only needed to pack clothes, and food for them!)! Only thing I missed was some throw blankets for the couch. And they don't have shampoo or conditioner, which I usually wouldn't have noticed but I happened to forget mine this time. My bad really, lol! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend!

Amazing

The whole experience was absolutely amazing from the house which was warm, cozy, clean, comfortable had plenty of land and the most breathe taking views. The fire pit/barbecue was perfect for those cold damp nights. Not to mention the indoor fireplace very romantic and relaxing.. My wife and I would definitely go back again! Thanks for an amazing experience.

Perfect getaway!

Everything was as described. The view from the back patio is amazing! The house is stocked with some basics, but the bottle of wine that greeted us was a very welcome gift! We recommend getting pizza and garlic knots from oakley's atleast once during your stay!! The grocery stores etc., are about 15mins drive from the property. Wifi works really well and there is no cell servicešŸ˜… it was perfect!

Warm and comfortable accommodations!

We were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine! The check-in was smooth and efficient. The view from the back deck was stunning. Wish it were a month later to see the colorful fall foliage. Restaurants, shopping, Suoer Markets and ice cream stands were no more than 30 minutes away. There was a nice large TV with a set top box (Roku) with many channels available. WiFi worked flawlessly, however cell service was not available but there was a land line phone for in case of emergencies. There were many board games and puzzles available I addition to many books to read. The kitchen had many spices available for cooking. The venue was clean and welcoming. Our host Diane was very accommodating and quick to respond to our requests. We would definitely recommend to families looking for a nice quiet get-a-way in the Catskills!

Great Place to Stay

The house was very nice, and clean. Beds are a little small but very comfortable. No AC, but opening the windows allowed the house to stay at a reasonable temp during the day with fans on. There was no place to put the trash when we were ready to leave (no outside container because of animals) And we couldnā€™t take the trash with us soā€¦ I put a new bag in and left the used one next to the pale on a towel to keep the floor clean just in case. Hope that was ok!

Secluded and out of sight quietness

The house was a wonderful stay over this past weekend. It was a little out of the way off the main hustle and bustle of anything close to a store. If youā€™re looking to get away from a phone, this is the place, literally, NO cell phone signal, at all until close to the main highway. However, other than that , the house was well organized, very clean, facilities worked, private, cozy, nice back yard for children to play, the back deck is wonderful, not much cars passing (maybe 3) daily, so very much quiet. If youā€™re looking to really get away from the city like we were liking to, this is a wonderful hidden gem. The property management personnel were reachable when we needed them for the wi-if.

Pleasant experience

Cute little house with everything that you need for a weekend Catskills escape. We had an issue with the bathroom sink not working properly but hosts were responsive. Should include some instructions on how to use the outdoor grill. Would definitely come back again.
