About Us – Your Hosts Sascha & Sea We’re Sascha and Sea—your hosts with a warm heart, experience, and an open mind toward people and cultures. After many years abroad, we speak fluent English and know from our own Airbnb experience what makes a special place to stay: personality, reliability, and just the right amount of interaction. We know the Palatinate and the German Wine Route inside and out and are happy to share our favorite spots, restaurant recommendations, or places to visit—all tailored to your interests. Whatever you’re looking for—we want you to feel completely at home.
Our village combines rural tranquility with convenient everyday amenities. A large supermarket is just a few minutes’ walk away—perfect for your daily shopping. In addition, there are numerous regional farm stands in the area where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, meat, and seasonal specialties directly from the producers. A special highlight: We personally know some of the more than 3,000 winemakers in the Palatinate and are happy to provide recommendations upon request—from family-run wineries offering tastings to architecturally striking wine bars with views of the vineyards. The location between Neustadt an der Weinstraße, Speyer, and Bad Dürkheim offers ideal opportunities for day trips: Neustadt captivates with its old town, Hambach Castle, and charming wine villages like Gimmeldingen or Duttweiler. Speyer delights with its imposing cathedral (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Museum of Technology, beautiful riverside paths along the Rhine, and a diverse culinary scene. Bad Dürkheim is famous for the world’s largest wine festival, the “Riesenfass” restaurant, thermal baths, and the Limburg Castle ruins. Scattered among all these towns are idyllic villages such as Deidesheim, Forst, Wachenheim, Hainfeld, and St. Martin—each with its own unique character, wineries, small cafés, and breathtaking views of the wine-growing landscape. If you’d like, we’d be happy to share our personal favorite spots, scenic viewpoints, hiking trails, or wine festival dates with you—all tailored to your individual preferences.
