"We had an excellent stay - property is fantastic . Staff are very eager to help . The property is very close to the local train station - around 5 mins walk . Although the property is on the main road, the rooms are very quiet - especially ones facing away from the road. Overall we enjoyed the stay and will definitely recommend this hotel. "

I stayed in the Tenzing Norgay block, with old somewhat faded photos of the great man along every inch of corridor. "It was a pleasant stay at Hotel Sumitel Spa n Resorts. Everything was as per our expec tations. There should be some improvement in toiletry items. Towels were old and to be discarded now. Comid lid was not fixed properly. But overall we liked the ambience. And the most beautiful part is that you can see the beautiful view of Kanchenjunga from your rooms. Thanks. "

Woollen pillow cover was a nice touch. Ranjit provides good service and will make you tea and a nice breakfast. Difficult to find the hotel but call in advance and they'll send Ranjit to pick you up. Gave some suggestions and feed back to the general manager who was very appreciative of the constructive feed back. Passion of the staff to serve customers is unparalleled and trickles down from the leadership of Debarya, who seems to talk about the resort like it's his baby. "We had an unpleasant stay experience. During the winter season, we faced issues with heating. When we requested the heater, they insisted on an additional charge of Rs 1000. Despite booking a stay with buffet breakfast, the hotel did not provide a buffet; instead, they offered a limited menu with options like puri sabji, paratha, or bread with tea. I do not recommend this hotel due to the rude and unresponsive behavior of the staff."

"Great location, walkable to the Toy Train. Many restaurants close by. The hotel was able to organise taxis and sightseeing trips. The staff were very helpful. The restaurant was very busy at breakfast but there was no shortage of food. Would stay again."
