Our newest home River House is now available (STR permit #2016056024). We are experienced Homeaway/VRBO owners and hosts . If you have a large group, you can also rent our home right next door at the Cumberland Cottage. (Homeaway.com property #3957610).
We use VRBO homes when we travel, so we understand first hand what is expected, and what is needed at vacation rentals. We know just what youā€™re looking for, and we bend over backwards to deliver it!

The River House is tucked away on a quiet waterfront street that is steeped in history, with several famous old school Opry Stars living nearby. It's private and safe here. There is very little car traffic so it's great for walking around or riding bikes. We see deer, geese and turkey regularly. It's a special neighborhood with friendly folks. Yet, itā€™s just minutes from the famous Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Opry Mills Mall and THE GRAND OLE OPRY. Within 4 miles there are over 2 dozen Restaurants & Nashvilleā€™s biggest Water Park. Downtown is only 15 minutes away, much closer than 95% of the waterfront homes in the greater Nashville Area. Two great golf courses are within 4 miles, uber and lyft are very familiar with the area, and traditional taxi service is not a problem.
Once you get here, you may not feel the need to leave. If you like to cook, youā€™ll find a well equipped kitchen, with all the pots, pans, and all small appliances of home. Outside on the deck thereā€™s a gas grill ready for serious Bar-B-Q action.

Fresh, crispy linens are provided on each bed. White cotton towels are also provided.
Each morning youā€™ll enjoy your breakfast and complimentary coffee in the sun-filled dining room, or take a walk down the quiet lane and listen to the birds and the river.
During the day, Use the River House as your base of operations for exploring Nashville, or hang out in the POOL (open May 1 - October 15) and/or Hot tub! In the eveningā€¦ enjoy the peace and quiet on two full-length front porches. When itā€™s time to turn in three of the bedrooms sports a king bed, the fourth bedroom features two queen beds. And, If you have a party of twelve, two deluxe inflatable twin mattresses are also available.

Other amenities include Washer & Dryer, Multiple HD TVs with Cable, Blu-Ray players, board games, and High-speed WiFi. All you need to bring is your clothes and your food. We provide coffee and some kitchen amenities. We go the extra mile for our guests and also provide eco-friendly bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner. When you arrive, we can provide a greeter to help you settle into the property, or just leave you the door code prior to your stay. Just let us know what you need and we'll do our best to make it happen.

The host was amazing, but the pictures on the listing have to be from awhile ago. The pool needs quite a bit of work done, one side had a rusted out support structure. The deck area around the pool was very dirty and so was the outside furniture. The living room furniture was very uncomfortable and very old. We had a great time, the house did its purpose, but for the price it could use to be freshened up.

Perfect location, we used the recommended shuttle for downtown, highly recommend the van service. You could update your towels. So tiny and a few had holes in them, wash clothes had stains on them, other than that property had everything we needed.

Stay was great, location was perfect. As I saw in other reviews, the cleaning lady was there till 5:40 and our check-in was at 4, so we had a stranger wandering around as we were getting settled. She was nice and apologized for being there. The 2 king suites were very nice, the double room was nice as well but the king bed sharing a jack and jill bathroom needs a matteess, never slept on such an uncomfortable bed in my life. We bought a foam mattress topper just to make it a little better. Overall, great place, owner very easy to work with. Would stay here again.

Overall very good stay. Unique house and property. Nice pool, side yard, front elevated porch, 1st floor layout with master. Host excellent and very responsive. A few items to consider for improvementā€¦upon arrival, checkin at front door was seamless, but noticed back door to pool deck was unlocked and windows not lockable. Top door balcony door only secured with bungee cord. Dishwasher was loaded but had not been run. Refrigerator/Freezer light flickerswheopened.

My siblings and spouses met for a reunion and the River House was perfect. It had everything, except tissues in the bathrooms (a real nit!). Fifteen minutes from downtown Nashville. Our host, John, was extremely responsive. The house was as described. Lots of outdoor sitting spaces. Couldnā€™t have been better. Highly recommend this for family or friend gathering. Really lovely!

Quiet rental with plenty of space. Porches were a nice retreat. Had our small dogs who enjoyed the yard and barking at the deer who frequented the property. We had a conference at Opryland and glad we stayed here over the crowds there. Nice place!

Perfect location with just a short drive to downtown Nashville. Plenty of space for a large group. Highly recommend using the van shuttle service that's advertised on the placard in the house; they are affordable and easy to schedule for large groups. Pool and hot tub were a great option for taking a break in between the Broadway scene. House was clean and check in/checkout process was a breeze.

Clean and comfortable, with good AC, this home was just what we were looking for. John was very responsive when I reached out to him with a question. It was great because my daughter (the bride) was able to have her bridesmaids over for hair and makeup on her wedding day. Just perfect!

Overall the home is nice and our party of 11 were comfortable. We appreciated there being a high chair, stroller, and baby gates. If you have a tiny tyke, check under the furniture because that doesn't seem to be on the cleaning list. The outside amenities touted in the listing need some work. The pool is an above ground with a deck, the top corners of the structure are rusted thru on all 4 corners, leaving one to wonder if we may end up in the neighbors yard at any minute. The cleaning lady was still there at the 4pm check in and did not vacate until close to 5pm. There is a river across the street however, you cannot see it from ANY part of this house and there is no trail to it either. We found a fishing spot nearby at a park tho.

There were family that drove from Florida and Buffalo New York, we were celebrating six birthdays out of the 11 people, two of them being 21st birthday celebrations. The house was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the pool. It was just far enough away from downtown, but still close enough to go down there and have a little fun

Our stay included 12 family members ranging from 6mons-Adults. Each family had their own living quarters in this spacious home. Lovely neighborhood location, close to shopping/food/attractions. Everything was included from a baby gate, to a stroller, to additional blow up mattresses, beach towels, etc. Made our stay seamless. Minor suggestions for repairs: upstairs toilet ran non-stop during our stay. Upstairs bedroom had exterior lock broken off door/bungee cord fastened together. No dish towels during stay. (One downside was listed as ā€œRiver Viewā€ was a far stretch. Listing indicated a view of the river was observed from the home. Incorrect; while river is near the property, it is across the street and hidden by dense, overgrown foliage). (Another downfall was the overwhelming smell of cat urine in the basement, as there were multiple feral cats living in the foundation of the home. Very odd situation where the home owner had to send over the cleaning crew to try to catch them, during our stay). (Lastly, outdoor garbage cans had a horrible smell, even after dumping them. Stored on the driveway near the pool area. The smell would permeate the exterior of the home, making swimming/hot tub unbearable at times.)
