Franklin Farm Cottage

With clear blue skies and rolling hills of Tennessee, country tranquility awaits you. Watch the horses graze from the back deck. You will love the farm landscapes, the cozy country setting, and everything you need to feel at home. We are 5 minutes to Arrington Vineyards and the barn at Sycamore Farms, 15 minutes to Historic Franklin and Cool Springs Retail, and 30 minutes to downtown Nashville.

We are 5 minutes to The Barn at Sycamore Farms and Arrington Vineyards, 15 minutes to Historic Franklin and Cool Springs Retail, and 30 minutes to downtown Nashville.

Our 3 bedroom 2 bath home is a private home that shares a long driveway with the owners' home. The home has a full-size kitchen fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and a Keurig coffee maker with complementary coffee (please bring more pods for longer stays). There is a washer and dryer if you need to clean laundry (please bring your own detergent). Towels, extra linens, iron, hair dryer, shampoo and body wash are all provided for your convenience. We have one TV in the living room that has local channels, and we also provide an Amazon Fire TV Stick for watching Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc.

The home is ideal for families, friends, or business travelers. There is plenty of parking and turn-around space. The back deck is very private and overlooks the neighbor's horses.

You might get a visit from our friendly cat, Pootie, who loves to greet our guests. There is also a good chance you will see deer and wild turkey while you are here.

We have a 43 gallon water heater. Please spread out your showers for larger parties.

Please observe the no-smoking rule.

We live in the main brick house on the property and also have another short-term rental listing. Please reach out to us if you need more space.

Graduation

After attending graduation ceremonies in Nashville for two consecutive days, it was very relaxing returning to the comfortable Franklin property. Property was secluded, yet easily accessible to all of the area's amenities.

Perfect ladies’ weekend getaway

Great little getaway for me and three of my friends for my friend’s birthday. The place was quaint, quiet, clean and had all the comforts of home. Each time I contacted the host he was very prompt in his responses. It was very close to where we wanted to hang out in downtown Franklin. We would definitely stay here again.

Short Weekend

We stayed here for 2 nights during a recent music festival. The house is located on a large private farm / private and quiet. The place had plenty of space and served us well. Could have used a few more than 2 Kuerig coffee cups or maybe a cheap standard coffee machine but all good.

Nice quiet family getaway

Shortly after my mother's death, my brothers, sister, dad, and I started taking a peaceful week together. This is the second time we've come to this house and we've enjoyed it both times. It's quiet, close to a horse care business, which is lovely for morning walks, and the back porch is nice for sitting outside at twilight. Overall, a restful space.

Wonderful Stay in the Countryside

This was our first Vrbo stay and check-in was the easiest experience I’ve ever had. The home was spacious and beautifully decorated with plenty of room for the family. Will definitely keep this Vrbo in mind when lots of family come in town to visit.

We had a wonderful experience. What a clean house and comfortable beds. We had everything we needed and the instructions were very easy. We felt like we were far away from the city. Quaint, beautiful, and quiet

We loved our stay with Lena and John. They were always just a text message away and quick to respond. The house was exactly as listed and very clean. We really enjoyed their beautiful property and saw horses and chickens. We had all the necessities for cooking and would happily stay here again. It was close to Arrington vineyard and we played disc golf at a nearby park. It was close to anything we wanted to do in Franklin and Nashville. Thank you Lena and John for a wonderful and quiet weekend. It was just what we wanted!

Late Fall Getaway

The property was lovely. We found the house clean and the location was very peaceful. We stayed for 8 days and we were thankful that they had provided some coffee for the first couple of mornings until we had a chance to go grocery shopping. Also, it was nice to have extra garbage bags during our stay. We enjoyed seeing the deer in the front yard, the chickens roaming the property all day and the neighbors horses out our back door. This property is in a great location. Only 30 minutes from downtown Nashville and close to local shopping and restaurants. The house was very clean and had a beautiful country setting.

Quiet getaway

Nice quiet area which is what we were looking for. It was easy to get to Murfreesboro and Nashville. The home was clean and comfortable. My only negative comment would be that the kitchen could have used another sauce pan. 😉

Convenient and clean

This place was close to Franklin where a lot of the history tours were. There were good restaurants in town and free parking for convenience of walking around town. The house had basic amenities. In the fall of the year, the back patio had an amazing view and comfortable chairs just for relaxing and enjoying the weather.

A beautiful oasis

The property is set in beautiful countryside, surrounded by rolling green fields with plenty of trees and lovely horses. The little house we stayed in is perfectly appointed with great thought given to details. My small grandchildren could run around freely which was perfect. It was a restful and beautiful stay. Quiet, attractive property

My family and I were together in remembrance of my mother who died this time last year. We needed a quiet place where we could take long walks and rest undisturbed. This suited our needs very well. The only thing I would have liked is a few pods for wash, a few for the dishwasher, another pot, and a baking dish. Otherwise, very very nice visit with unobtrusive hosts.

Nice weekend getaway

We were in town for a wedding- the property was very conveniently located, just a 5 minute drive to The Barn at Sycamore Farms. It was about 35 minute drive to downtown Nashville. It’s a modular home and was on the same property as the owners’ home. Fairly clean, spacious, and a pretty horse farm backs up to the house. We appreciated that the owners worked with us to allow an early check-in.

Great location !

The location was perfect. The property is a Manufactured Home so it had its normal uneven floor and sound quirks but worked out fine for the family. Excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Stocked with essentials for our first day like t.p, coffee etc. we enjoyed visiting the horses at the neighboring pastures. Wonderful black cat with loads of love granted us a visit. All said - wonderful stay!

Perfect location. Beautiful property. Great value. You won't be disappointed.

We spent our time in Franklin and Nashville enjoying the sites, culture, music and food. This location was a perfect spot close all of our travel destination on the checklist. This home was the perfect location for rest, conversation, and recuperation. We will stay again.
