WestWood Shed • A Vacation & Work Stay: a unique and relaxed entertainment space. Our four Private Apartment Suites, each with a front living room and open kitchen for entertaining your visitors, offer a keyed separate bedroom and laundry, all within your private Suite. Suite #1 is "Visitable" (accessible for disabled visitors) with additional assistive railing in the tub/shower—an ideal place to work, recover, and vacation.
Our location on a quiet street, just 1 block from various excellent restaurants and bars, offers the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. With two grocery stores & a butcher shop within a half mile and GEODIS Park-Nashville Fairgrounds just a mile away—home of the Nashville Soccer Club, & Flea Market. The City of Berry Hill, nestled on the edge of downtown, is the hottest real estate in Tennessee, offering a close yet perfectly 2.6-mile journey to Broadway.
On our street, many homes have been converted into offices—zoned Mixed-Use; this allows one to openly conduct business from one's Suite. There are 2 parking slots per Suite for guests and visitors off the street, usually with more spaces if needed.
Each Suite has a private entrance, private deck, office-living room & open kitchen. All three lower Suites have "Visitable" spaces, which means your visitors with handicapped limitations can access your front office-living room area—zero-step entrance & walkways, 36" doors, & wheelchair-accessible restroom. There is a dedicated van-accessible parking spot, a wheelchair ramp that leads to the 1st-floor walkway & an accessible shared patio in front. Also, for those who stay in Suite #1, additional railing supports are in the shower/tub and a shower stool. Suite #3 has larger 5-foot turning areas with a wheelchair accessible kitchen, and roll-in shower. Still, Suite #1 is perfect for staying guests with low mobility issues.
Lock away your private area—each Suite has a keypad on the front office-living room door, with interior keyed doors to lock off the bedroom and shower/laundry area. This allows you to share your office-living room with your visitors and co-workers while blocking access to your personal space. You may deadbolt lock the front door at night for added security and block access to the keypad if you've shared your private code with a co-worker or visitor.
A Shared Patio in front of the building extends beside the Tree Boxes along the string of lights. If smoking bothers others on your private deck, the space by the Tree Boxes is a nice area to get away from the building and smoke freely. Please do not smoke inside.
We will assist with additional parking when needed. Parties over 8 must be prearranged with us for appropriate parking and to ensure no overlapping events with other guests and outdoor spaces. Berry Hill Police will enforce the maximum visitors of 20 per Suite. They patrol our community, know us all, and do a great job keeping us all safe.
We're ~2.6 miles away from the heart of downtown Nashville off 8th Avenue/Franklin Pike, a main corridor with bus transit. Rideshares (Uber & Lift) are readily available. You can usually find a rental scooter set along the streets or several rental bicycle racks in town—one close by at Sevier Park on Kirkland Ave. Downtown has several guided sightseeing tours via bus, trolley, tractor & trailer, helicopter, party bus, golf cart, horse & carriage, and more. There are often art galleries & tasting "crawls"—guided walking tours. Parking in Berry Hill is limited but available. Downtown parking lots & garages fill up during significant city events, but slots are usually available. When downtown, for your safety, park in a well-lit area near busy streets where other people are around.
Every kitchen is well stocked with baking and cookware, both casual and nice plates, stemware, and just about everything you'll need to feel at home. Below the kitchen sink, you'll find dish cleaning supplies, including dish soap and dishwasher pods. When you leave, the dish brush, if used, goes into the dishwasher, and the sponge is replaced.
Drip coffee makers are provided with 2 flavors of sealed coffee packages—Maxwell House medium dark and dark roast Cafe Bustelo. You may take home whichever package you open if you'd like; open packages will be thrown out. There is also a kettle with green and black tea bags and a few hot chocolates. We also provide 4 organic milk boxes and some munchies.
Your apartment has a washer and dryer with fragrance-free washer soap. We provide towels and linens, a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soaps. The linens for the 2nd bed do not remain in the Suite—during the booking process you can arrange for additional guests and the 2nd bed will be completely setup with your prompted request.

We had such a wonderful stay! The home was beautifully decorated and felt so welcoming from the moment we arrived. The thoughtful touches — including snacks and helpful guides for planning activities — made exploring the area so easy. The location was perfect: just far enough out of town to feel peaceful. We would absolutely stay here again!

We came in to Nashville to visit my son they lived there. This place was PERFECT!!!! It’s beautiful, super clean, and in an overall great location!!!! We would definitely stay here again!!!!

Oasis in the storm
I was looking for a rental property while visiting for my son's wedding. To say the hosts for this property were the best seems like too little praise. From someone that has travelled extensively and stayed all over the US and internationally at similar rentals, they were available whenever I had a question while giving me the space I needed so that it felt like I was on a real vacation.
To begin with, the property is new and spacious. Everything was immaculate and yet, laid out for comfort. It had everything within reason that I could need or enjoy in a home away from home, most essential of which is quiet and comfort. The most important thing for me when I'm away is that I get a good nights rest and the bed and bedroom space gave me better sleep than my own home on occasion. Large shower space, state of the art washer/dryer set up, iron and ironing board, fully supported working kitchen space complete with welcoming tea/coffee and snacks set for the guest. The television in the living room and bedroom offered streaming services and an office work space with internet so that I could attend to my business needs throughout the day. The location is convenient to a variety of restaurants, grocery stores and shopping while being secluded away on a quiet street. This location and experience rates as one of the top 3 I've ever enjoyed in my travels. I believe in supporting businesses that put their customers and clients first. I felt well taken care at on this trip. I"ll look forward to returning on my next trip and will certainly recommend to my friends.
