Pet-Friendly Backyard Oasis in the Nations

Welcome to 5004 Michigan Avenue, our cozy bungalow in the heart of Nashville’s newest hotspot. Built in 1961, this single level brick home is chock full of homey comforts. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the front porch in the morning and a glass of wine by the fire pit out back in the evening. We have loved this retro, family-style house for the past twelve years, and we are sure you will too.

We have three private bedrooms, two with en-suite bathrooms. The futon in the living room folds out for additional (though not private) sleeping space.

While we are pet-friendly, we ask that pets remain off the furniture during your stay.
Plates, utensils, glasses, and refrigerator are all available for use in the kitchen. We ask that guests refrain from helping themselves to items in the refrigerator or pantry, however.
A rolling bin is outside the back door for trash disposal.

Cute older 3 bd/3ba bungalow with a lot of its original fixtures and charm in a rejuvenating neighborhood with lots of young families, felt totally safe. The backyard is indeed an oasis and fenced for your pup. Plenty of supplies (coffee, sugar, towels, shampoo, soaps, etc.) FANTASTIC and fast communication with owner! Note there is no inside dining area other than the kitchen high top island for two. There is a table with 4 chairs outside, although it was quite hot most except early and late. It was just the two of us and our dog so it wasn’t a big deal but could have been for us with a larger group. Lots of close restaurants and shops. Comfy beds, good water pressure, convenient location. There is a to-die-for bakery a couple blocks away (Brightside)—order day before for pickup to get what you want and you will not be sorry! Recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. The house is cute and comfortable, and the backyard is amazing. The house is conveniently located near many restaurants. Check-in was a breeze, and the hosts were very thoughtful. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Nashville.

Perfect Size and Location

Property was the perfect spot for a family of four with a pup to stay for a weekend in Nashville. Great neighborhood for walking to restaurants and an easy commute via ride share or drive to all of the major attractions. Highest recommendation for a safe, comfortable, and relaxing way to visit the city.

Perfect Respite

We had a great time in this cozy home and our dog enjoyed roaming around the gated backyard. Lots of fun things to do 5-10 minutes away. Anitra provided great communication and we would recommend her home without hesitation.

Really cute house with an amazing backyard, that my dog loved! Neighbor was close to everything, my friend said to me, "we can be anywhere in 20 minutes". We felt safe, the neighborhood was quiet. Communication from the owner was excellent. Coco's Italian restaurant is a community staple and the food was excellent. Family owned, homemade everything, they even have prepared foods to go, and a small but well stocked Italian grocery store. There were other restaurants in the area too. Big bad biscuit was a good, last day breakfast. I would stay here again.

Urban oasis

The place was great! Close to everything, but with the feeling of getting away from it all. Beautifully decorated inside and all the little things you need for a few days away. Backyard is absolutely gorgeous. An amazing garden, plenty of seating areas, big enough for the dog and kids to play. Super nice neighbors. We loved it!

3 adults each had our own bexroom and bathrooms, then there is the stunning backyard the happy spot for any pet parent. Loved everything about this place and would reserve again.

Just Like Home

This was a short stay for my family in town for a cheer competition, but when we were in the house it felt just like home. Much better than a hotel, and the neighborhood was nice as well. Communication with the owner was simple and they responded to me very quickly. We will more than likely stay here again.

Great location, great yard, great house, great parking

This is a fantastic place to stay, especially if you want to be in the Nations. Not a lot of yards or off-street parking available in that area, but this property has both. And the house is clean and comfortable as well. We’ll be back for sure.

Lovely bungalow in a quiet neighborhood

We were driving from Fort Worth to Asheville and this place was the perfect oasis. Comfortable rooms and a fantastic backyard all very clean and inviting. The neighborhood is a nice place to take a walk to stretch your legs after a long car ride. Don’t miss this place on your way through Nashville!

Love the location and the backyard!

We love this location, and Anitra was so helpful and even let us check in early. The only negative was the mattress on one of the beds was not comfy, and the bed was short for my tall hubby.

Nations Gem!

We loved staying at this property! It is located in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. The inside is charmingly decorated and the backyard is a garden lover’s dream. The owner is easily contacted and responds quickly. (We had no issues-only a question). Walking distance to several breweries and eateries. Highly recommend!

Awesome Nashville house in a great area!

Such a comfortable house to stay in. So much character and Nashville charm. The back yard is a sanctuary! Great deck, garden, and plenty of room to let the kiddos run around. Awesome location, 15 minutes to everything. Our family of four was very comfortable!
