Puffin Cottage Holidays is proud to present The Duck Pond, a superior and exquisite two-bedroom exclusive lodge at Canaston Waterside Lodges, where the owners look forward to welcoming you to their peaceful “Noddfa” (sanctuary), nestled in a stunning location in the beautiful Welsh countryside. Just three miles from the market town of Narberth and a short walk or drive to local attractions, and the popular seaside town of Tenby.
A 20-minute walk through Canaston Woods will lead you to Blackpool Mill with it's heritage restaurant and surrounding woodland walks, set alongside the Cleddau River. Steeped in history, this charming Georgian mill has now been beautifully restored and is the perfect place to stop for a cake and coffee after a days' exploring or to enjoy an evening meal.

The Duck Pond is one of two lodges at Canaston Waterside Lodges, boasting two large ponds, lawned meadows and uninterrupted distant views of the Pembrokeshire Countryside and Preseli Mountains. With a large furnished decked terrace and a hot tub, the lodge is a peaceful retreat to relax and unwind. A perfect haven filled with nature and wildlife where you can sit back and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. And a great spot for bird watching too! Or you may feel like taking a stroll around the ponds and down to the river to explore more of the wildlife and views.
The lodge is tastefully furnished and decorated with a contemporary, neutral colour scheme throughout. The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is bright and airy, yet with a cosy and warm feel for those cooler months. Large glass doors lead out on to the terrace which overlooks the tranquil ponds and lawned meadows.

Fully equipped with everything you will need for your self-catering holiday including a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster, integrated worktop gas hob, electric oven, microwave, wine cooler, crockery, utensils and ample storage space. Seating at the kitchen island.
Living area
Smart TV and comfortable dining and sofa seating. Direct access to the outside furnished decked terrace with seating and dining area with hot tub.
Bathroom
Bath with rainfall shower, basin, toilet, mirror and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 1
King size bed, wall-mounted Smart TV and walk-in wardrobe. Countryside, pond and terrace views with direct access onto the outside terrace with hot tub!
En-suite shower room
Walk-in shower, basin, mirror, toilet and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2
Twin bedroom with built in wardrobe. Countryside, pond and terrace views.

Hot tub, large furnished private terrace with balustrades. Views over the countryside and ponds.
There is parking for up to two cars and an EV charger is available for guests (shared use with the adjacent lodge). Please note that there is a charge for the use of the EV charger.

Mallard’s Rest, a 2-bedroom lodge adjacent to The Duck Pond is also available to let via Puffin Cottage Holidays. Ideal for larger groups or families holidaying together.
Canaston Waterside Lodges also offer breakfast for guests staying at The Duck Pond. This is available at the adjoining Canaston Oaks Bed and Breakfast dining room. This is an optional extra and can be booked and paid for at the main reception on arrival.

Terms and Conditions of Hire.
Bookings of all holiday accommodation whether made by telephone, e-mail, in person, in writing or over the internet are accepted by Puffin Cottage Holidays acting as the agent on behalf of the Owner. The contract to occupy the property is between you and the owner.
By making any booking with us, you confirm that you accept these terms and conditions and agree to comply with and be bound by them.
These booking terms and conditions include a number of defined terms as follows:
"Booking" means the legally binding reservation for use of the property, with a specified start and end date. "Contract of Hire" The legally binding contract between the Hirer and the Owner "Deposit" means a deposit of 20% of the total holiday accommodation cost (which includes any "extras" selected at the time of booking). "Balance" means the balance of the Total Charges payable by you after payment of the Deposit as set out in paragraph 4. "Website" means the booking website. "Lead Hirer" means the person who has booked the accommodation. "Guest" means you and each person staying in the property with you. "Owner" means the owner of the Property you book which is the subject of the Contract of Hire. We do not own the properties on our website. "Agent" means Puffin Cottage Holidays. "Property" and "Properties" means the holiday property you book or enquire about through us. "You" means the lead person making a booking through us. When you make a booking through us you are confirming that you and every Hirer understands, agrees and accepts these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully as any breach may result in the Owner (or their representative) refusing to allow you and your guests to enter and stay at the property or requiring you and your guests to leave the property before the end of the holiday period without any compensation or refund.
1. Contract and Booking We act as agents for the Owner. When you make a Booking through us the holiday let contract in respect of the Property is always between you and the Owner. As Agents we accept no responsibility for an injury or damage caused as a result of the Contract.
Bookings cannot be accepted from persons under 21 years of age.
The Lead Hirer must be one of the Guests staying at the property and shall not part with possession of the property or share it, except with other Guests named on the booking form.
The Properties are not intended to be reserved for the purposes of parties and group bookings, including for stag, hen dos and birthdays, may not be allowed unless explicitly agreed with the Owner. In these circumstances the Owner may impose special requirements (including the possible requirement for, but not limited to, an extra damage deposit payment)
No Bookings are confirmed until the Deposit (or Balance and Deposit if the holiday is less than 8 weeks away) is received and written confirmation of its receipt has been sent.
Once a booking is confirmed it cannot be changed by you, unless agreed by the Owner, or by us on the Owner's behalf. If we or the Owner agree to make requested changes to your booking (for example, amending the date or Hirer) you will be required to pay £25 amendment fee per change.
2. Booking Fees A booking fee of £24.00 is payable when making a booking. This is included in the displayed price of the holiday.
3. Deposits and Balance Payments Bookings made within 8 weeks of your holiday date must be paid for in full at the time of booking. For a booking made more than 8 weeks before your holiday a deposit of 20% of the total due will be paid when booking to secure the booking. The balance will be paid 8 weeks prior to your holiday. If you make a booking within 8 weeks of the start of the holiday you will be required to pay for the holiday in full at the time of booking to secure the booking. In the event that the balance payment is not received by the required date, Puffin Cottage Holidays reserves the right (on behalf of the Owner) to cancel the booking and will be under no obligation to refund any deposits previously paid.
The booking fee and Deposit are non-refundable unless we are unable to accept the booking on behalf of the Owner, or the Property is unavailable at the time of the holiday
4. Damage Deposits Some properties may require damage deposits for all bookings made. If this is required, it will be recorded in the Property Description. Any damage deposit will be due along with the final balance payment, 8 weeks prior to your holiday, or, where the booking is made within 8 weeks of your holiday, the damage deposit must be paid in full at the time of booking. The damage deposit may be held by Puffin Cottage Holidays on behalf of the Owner. Whilst we will use our reasonable endeavours to liaise between the Owner and the lead Hirer, any disputed claims must be settled between the Owner and the lead Hirer and Puffin Cottage Holidays are not liable for any disputed claims.
5. Availability The Contract of Hire is made on the understanding that the property and its facilities as published will be available for the dates stated. In the unlikely event that the property is not available through events outside the Owners control the lead Hirer will be notified as soon as possible. The lead Hirer shall be offered alternative dates or, at the Owners discretion, a refund but will have no further claims against the Owner or Puffin Cottage Holidays. Puffin Cottage Holidays will not be responsible to pay any compensation or expenses as a consequence of a Property not being available in these cases. The booking fee will be non-refundable in these circumstances as we will have carried out our services for this to you at the point of booking.
