"It is a super location on the river with privacy. There is road noise but didn’t really bother us. It’s tough to fish the river because its flow is controlled by Duke for whitewater activities but there is fishing opportunities very close by. Very relaxing with fire pit and pretty much everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Our dog loved it! "

"Our host was most accommodating…from providing a highchair and pack&play to early access. The view from the front door (and anywhere else on the main level) was beautiful!!! The house itself was just what my husband and I, plus our 3 children and their families needed for a great weekend for the Polar Express trip. The kids, ranging in ages 9 months to 8 years, had plenty of room on either level for games and playing. Such a short drive to downtown Bryson City. Would definitely recommend this...

"We just spent the weekend at Cedar Heights for the Polar Express with our small children and had the best experience. The view of the train from house was magical and got our little ones so excited to ride every time it went by. Louise was responded immediately to any questions and the cabin had everything and more that we needed. The location is perfect. Highly recommended! "

"Traveled with our family of four for a long weekend. We loved the peaceful setting and spent our nights around the firepit eating s'mores! Our days featured short trips to Andrews for a railbike tour and a stop at Nantahala Outdoor Center. Communication was great, and the owners were very attentive. We highly recommend!"

Kitchen was adequate, refrigerator small, but did the job for drinks and breakfast items.Comfortable stay for our trip to Bryson City to ride the trains, go to Clingman's Dome, and see the elk for a quick vacation."

"We had the best stay following our Polar Express experience on the Great Smoky Mt. Railroad. The place is warm, welcoming and cozy and the Christmas decorations were a plus!Dave is an excellent host from booking until check out. His communication is excellent and he is truly invested in making sure your stay is wonderful! If we ever find our way back to Bryson City, we will definitely stay again!"

"Everything was Great. The Host Kathy, was on top of everything. Recommendations from food to eat in town and the hiking to every great spot. Also had a local Bobcat introduce himself at the bridge. Didn't have to go far just across the bridge and you was on a trail. Thank you, for allowing us to enjoy your space in the mountains.... We will be back! "
