Welcome to Serenity Homestay Apartment, your preferred home away from home while in Nairobi city.
We offer comfortable accommodation on a self-catering basis in a 3 bedroom, 4 bed well furnished apartment, in a serene and secure environment.
The apartment is located on the second floor of the building and has elevator access, a common play ground for the kids and secure parking within the property.
The apartment is in generally quiet surroundings,has beautiful furnishings, and wood floor tiling except bath and laundry areas where there are marble tiles.
There are 2 balcony areas for relaxation: outside the living area, and the master bedroom.
2 of the rooms have a private bathroom, while the third room has a separate bathroom. The master bedroom has a shower and bathtub.
All taps have hot water; water is heated using solar energy so you may have to let the water run for about a minute before it gets hot enough for use. There is plenty of water on the premises.
The apartment building has a standby generator which lights up common use areas when there is power interruption.
The apartment comes with a fully fitted kitchen so you can stock up on groceries and prepare meals. A grocer and shop is within walking distance if you need fresh veggies or basic groceries. In addition, there is free wifi, cable TV, a washer/dryer and additional clothes drying rack, twice weekly cleaning service, towels and linens and free toiletries.
All areas are accessible to guests. However, the house has an attached guest room (which is usually referred to as the servant's quarters - usually used by a live-in house help or nanny) which I would prefer not be used by guests as I usually use it as storage space.
A quiet neighborhood in the suburbs of Nairobi city, near Kileleshwa Police Station, and a few minutes walk to Tulips Restaurant, Crossroads restaurant and WOW wine shop. The area has tarmacked roads and there is easy access to the Nairobi city centre (14km away) through public transport and various taxi services such as Uber.
Shopping malls within a few minutes drive include Westlands Sarit Centre (3.6km), Yaya Centre Kilimani (3.5km), Valley Arcade (3.2km), Lavington Shopping Mall (2.9km) and Junction Mall Ngong' Road (5.5km).
The Nairobi Arboretum park where you can relax and have a picnic is only a 7 minute drive away, while Nairobi National Museum is about 4.5km away.
The Westlands area has various eateries including Pizza hut, Domino's pizza, KFC, Chicken inn, various Indian and Chinese cuisine restaurants, night clubs, coffee shops, some of which deliver food.
There is easy access to public transportation (matatu) to Nairobi city centre and to Lavington (Othaya road route) using route number 48. Taxi services including Uber, Taxify and Little cabs are also available.
Secure parking is available within the property.
