The pictures of the actual room were misleading. We were on the 3rd floor of the Magnolia building. EVERYTHING about that room was dated and needed repair or replacement.
I decided to look online to find out why, when we book through a 3rd party (ie:Expedia), we would get a room like this. It sounds like it happens a lot. Maybe Expedia should post pictures of what the outdated rooms actually look like. The couch in the living room was stained and smelled. The bathroom door looked leke it had years of water damage as is was swelled on the bottom and needed to be replaced. The kitchen faucet leaked when on. We turned off the air conditioning because of the way it smelled, and even the hallway had a musty nasty smell. I was completely disappointed at the shape of the room in general. I would not recommend the hotel unless you book direct as I'm not sure what type od room you will get.
One nice thing was the pool area and access to the beach. You will have to rent chairs and an umbrella if you want any shade. They are not part of the stay price.
We also didn't mind the walk down the boardwalk, but if you have smaller children that need to walk, it may be a lot of walking.
