Muskegon is a destination like no other, located on the shores of Lake Michigan with world class beaches. There is so much to do and see, beautiful sand dunes to the north, an amusement park with roller coasters and waterslides. Restaurants right on the beach and a downtown area with breweries, theaters, museums, and social districts. So much entertainment, with festivals throughout the year. This cottage has a great location to it all. If your looking for a place to relax and restore look no further!

Beautiful and remodeled this waterfront cottage is located on all sports Mona Lake with Lake Michigan access. The cottage has over 2000 square feet of living area with 4 large waterfront bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one on each level. The downstairs bathroom has whirlpool Jacuzzi tub and custom glass block walk in shower, the upstair bathroom is located off the queen bedroom and has a standup tile shower. Relax in the outdoor sunken hot tub (open year round) and an additional 800 square feet of multi level decking with gorgeous panoramic views of lake!

Cottage also has a large fully-stocked kitchen, a laundry room with washer/dryer, free WiFi, a 2021 Bennington pontoon boat (available June 1st through Oct 25th, Mona Lake use only), 2 kayaks and a canoe are included with the rental. Enjoy the lake with a waterside deck with attached dock. Enjoy the evenings making memories around the large fire pit and wood is provided. Bring your own boat if you wish the boat launch is just down the street.

Getaway Weekends also avail. from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

Mona Lake Family Vacation

On the positive side, the house was nicely and comfortably furnished and had more than enough towels for all of us. It accommodated our family of 10. Great location on the lake and loved the access to the pontoon boat, hot tub and kayaks for the kids. Our grandkids loved the ability to swim when docked on the beach and jumping off the boat. The fire pit with surrounding chairs was perfect for sā€™mores and we did that 2 nights in a row. The house could have used an exterminator since there were spiders and webs. The patio door was very hard to open and had no lock on it. Manager was responsive to issues that came up quickly but made our family feel uncomfortable when she sat on the deck of the house next door almost constantly. There were 10 of us in the house with 2 showers and there was an issue with a leak in the ceiling from the upstairs shower. All of us had to use the other shower downstairs. I believe the shower stall upstairs was way too small for the size of the shower head which made it hard to take a shower and rinse off. A plumber finally came the next day around noon and we had to wait till the next day after he came to use the shower again. We just kept checking the ceiling to watch for leaks.All things considered, our family did have a great week and our grandchildren enjoyed all of the attractions around Muskegon. Dr. Rolfā€™s Barbecue and Mr. Scribbs Pizza was delicious. Great farmers market on Saturday and the beach on Lake Michigan was fantastic.

Pontoon/Hot tub Quiet Fun

Rented this home for our adult daughter/husband & their family w/boyfriend & girlfriend. Absolutely loved the pontoon boat & relaxation on the lake. Beautiful inside the new kitchen & all over! Plenty of storage & seating. Hot tub water so clean! Enjoyed the covered porch w/chairs.

Relaxing

The amenities in this house were nice. However, unexpected damaging weather took out the power. It was not resolved for 27 hours, but at least now they have a generator in place for the next time this might happen. The kitchen was well stocked and appreciated. Communication was easy. If we make it to Muskegon again, we will stay here again.

Great property for big families. Outdoor seating is more than enough. Kitchen and living room open floor plan is perfect. All the bedrooms have a lake view. The cherry on top is the very clean hot tub!

Paradise in Muskegon

I recently enjoyed this Lake House with several of my friends for a 4 day/3 night stay and it did not disappoint. The house was perfect for our group and right off the water. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The weather wasnā€™t so great so we gathered by the bond fire most night because we did not want to leave the lakeside. Our host was very nice and accommodating (even though we used up all the firewood). We canā€™t wait to come back!

Nice Stay!

We had a fantastic stay! The amenities really made the trip, especially the hot tub and fire pit, which were perfect for relaxing in the evenings. We even made s'mores under the stars, which was such a fun touch. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed for cooking, and there were plenty of towels, including beach towels, which was super convenient.We took the canoe out on the water and tried a little fishing off the dock (no luck this time, but still a good time!). Grilled some steaks one night and enjoyed a great meal outside. The beds were really comfortable too, which made it easy to unwind after a day full of activities.Highly recommend this spot for a peaceful getaway with all the comforts of home and then some!

Cute property

The neighborhood is less than desirable but, the house is as cute as can be! It could use a few upgrades like a new can opener and more places to plug equipment in but overall, very nice and clean. The pontoon boat was not available and that is why we rented this one. There wasnā€™t any mention of this in the listing. The kitchen is very spacious and has many amenities. We would stay here again but maybe in warmer months.

Weekend Retreat

The lake house was absolutely stunningā€”spacious, beautifully decorated, and perfectly maintained. The large windows offered gorgeous lake views, and the outdoor space was ideal for relaxing. From the cozy fire pit area to the inviting deck, every detail made it feel like a true getaway. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bedrooms were comfortable and stylish. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Fall Break Family Getaway

Our family (two adults and four kids ages 9, 7, 5, 3) had a wonderful long weekend here for fall break. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed taking rides around the lake in the pontoon boat and using the hot tub on chilly evenings. The backyard has a lovely view with plenty of places to sit and relax, and was big enough for our kids to run around and throw footballs. We appreciated the extra large fire pit with lots of seating for roasting smores. The house was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. It was great to have two big chairs and two full sized couches, and we used the huge island and stools for dinner each night. Kitchen was well stocked and the grill and oven worked perfectly. The beds were extremely comfortable and our four boys loved the bunk room! We really appreciated all the extra towels, blankets, and pillows, and having the washer and dryer to use as needed. The property manager was very helpful and provided all the info we needed before arrival. Muskegon is one of our favorite places to visit and we'd definitely recommend this as a great place to stay!

Great Vacation

The house was roomy with a lot of places to sit, inside and out. The hot tub was good for four people. Loved being able to use the pontoon. Meijer's was close for shopping. The water in the lake was greenish in front, so not great for swimming. Overall, a great place to stay. Would consider renting it again.

Great stay!

Our stay at Mona Lake was absolutely fantastic. The boat provided was in great condition, allowing us to explore the lake with ease. The house itself was clean, spacious, and had incredibly comfortable beds. We were a group of 10 people, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house manager was responsive and ensured our needs were met. I highly recommend this beautiful lake house for a wonderful vacation.

Just perfect

This was a perfect time of year to go. The house was exactly as described, with plenty of space, full kitchen, and the watercraft (canoe, kayak) were great fun, as was the pontoon boat. We had great times around the firepit in the evenings. There was plenty to do in the area, good hiking, live music and I especially liked the submarine museum, very well done. Special shout out to Kim, the manager. We had an actual conversation before arrival, and expectations and information were clear. We asked a couple of questions during the stay, and she answered within a few minutes each time. thanks!

The property was amazing, great views, plenty of outdoor seating, and the pontoon boat was an added bonus. There was plenty of space for all 11 of us to fit and hang out comfortably. The property manager was very helpful, kind, available when needed and communicative. Highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful Girls Getaway

We had a wonderful stay here for our girls getaway weekend! The house was very clean and so pretty. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep, sit, relax. We opted out of the boat but the hot tub was perfect! Such a beautiful home!
