Southern Comfort - Oceanfront in Garden City Beach

Your family will experience the best in “Southern Comfort” when you vacation in this home! Renovations in 2017, with a lovely walk way and sun deck down to the sand, this home offers your family everything you need for a terrific beach vacation. The ocean front covered porch gives you a magnificent view, and the five roomy bedrooms allows this house to sleep 12 people comfortably. Two bedrooms are directly on ocean front, and one even opens onto the covered porch. A modern, lively kitchen with plenty of seating for everyone is just another added benefit! A short walk to the Garden City Pier and all the fun the area offers, this is truly the best in “Southern Comfort”! Mini Vacations (within certain dates) and winter monthly rentals are also available. Sorry, no smoking and no pets allowed.

5 Bedrooms: 3 up, 2 down. 3 Baths: 2 up, 1 down. Beds: Up-1 king, 1 queen, 2 singles; Down-1 queen, 2 singles, 1 sofabed. WIFI. Covered porch and sundeck. Outside shower. Charcoal grill. Walkway to beach. Approximate square footage 2100. No pets allowed.

Great location!

HURRICANE IAN ran us out 2 nights early. Great location. Semi clean. Get out of shower & walk thru house you will have dirty feet! Needs A little TLC. The back steps & wooden walkway to beach is needing replacement!! Seriously, one wrong step & foot or leg is in danger of going Thru some of boards. There is No Way this could pass safety inspections if there were any. Issues also with safety of screened in porch framing. But overall we had a great time but will look for a different house next time.

We had a nice time

Very beachy- lots of sand in and out of the house. Porch and deck will need some updates soon. House could use another vacuum or two (upstairs/downstairs) that work better. The outside shower needs some attention. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Nice location of rental. Working with Dunes Was a pleasure. They responded promptly to any request or questions we had. We’ll do it again.

Awesome location, needs deep cleaning

This location is as promised. However, the outdoor shower was disconnected so we could not rinse off. The interior was unclean. There was mold in the master shower and evidence of previous guests (used contact lenses on the floor next to the bed and dried ketchup on the wall).

Family vacation

This House fit all 8 of us very well. The location is good. There were a few things that needed attention and I brought the item to the property managers. the fixed remedied one. I Was not happy with the condition of the deck and the cracks and holes in the ceiling upstairs.

Absolutely stunning sunrise 💕!! Great space for big family!! Lots of amenities around for young and older kids. We loved it!!

Southern comfort

Overall the house and stay was exceptional. There were dirty linens left, sand still all over the floor, and windowsills were so dirty they were almost black. The kitchen had nearly all we needed, aside from mixing bowls and storage containers. The location was perfect and the beach was beautiful. Overall would recommend. Aside from the issue with cleanliness, the vacation was great.

Nice location, subpar house

Great location on the beach!! Furniture was relatively new. Sadly, the house was incredibly filthy. Housekeeping does not clean in between guests, they only change the linens. You’ll find sand and dirt on the floor (so bad you need to wear socks 24/7), dirt in the shower and frighteningly black window sills. Also the hosts/maintenance are unresponsive- our freezer door was broken and the oven did not work and no one got back to us the entire 7 days. The ladies at Dunes process you quickly but don’t really help out. We liked the location- we’ll be back to Garden City but won’t rent from Dunes ever again.
