Located at the end of the road,with an acre and a half of privacy including 239' Hiwassee River Front. Lots of parking ,,secure fenced area for your pets,a level yard for outdoor sports and picnics next to sounds of the Hiwassee river rushing by, or relax on the porch rockers and swing.. You will find Trout Rivers Inn more than just a rental cabin.
Once inside, the main level consists of the living room,dining room,kitchen,half bathroom, master bedroom and a full bathroom. The master bedroom with king size bed & tv, opens up to a full length covered deck. Below the deck is a secured access down to the fenced area for your pets.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and a full bathroom. On the main level, you have the king size bed and bathroom with tub and shower.
You are 5 minutes to Walmart, grocery shopping,restaurants and activities. The John Campbell Folk School is just a few miles away.Ā 

We've supplied the cabin with an assortment of games for outdoor fun! New Casino is only 10 minutes away.

Family...so nice!!

Home was very nice had everything you needed, river was beautiful loved just listening...great outdoor area for family as well as pets. Secluded and yet really close to any store or restaurant you might need. Thanks for a wonderful 4th, will book again !!

Rushing river

The weather wasnā€™t the greatest while we were there. But it didnā€™t stop us from sitting on the porch, listening and watching the river go by and all the birds singing in the trees. Very relaxing house was very clean. Went to an alpaca farm where we were able to pet them. Had a good time will probably return.

Beautiful property

Great space! Nice area for our pup, we spent afternoons and mornings on front porch enjoying the river. Evenings area the fire pit :) definitely recommend!

Excellent property,everything we needed was there. Had a horrible storm blow through prior to arrival with some flooding. Couldn't use dog area or yard for a few days. No fault of Owner. Hopefully returning soon.

Nice home with very nice owner who is quick to respond with any questions or problems. House is stocked with just about everything you could need. Also had plenty of tissue , paper towels and detergent - this is something you rarely find in rentals. House was clean. The only reason for 4 stars there is floors could use a deep cleaning. Iā€™m sure since it is pet friendly thatā€™s hard to keep up with. It is at my home. Top two stairs are a little tricky as they are a different height than previous ones but I would love to stay again in warm weather where I could enjoy the river. It was freezing cold and began snowing while we were there

Beautiful old house on the river!

This was a perfect spot for us and our fur babies! We loved the location - close to town but far enough away to feel at peace with nature! The house was accurate with it's description and had everything we needed (because we were snowed in- but that was part of the plan!). There were plenty of supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms and we appreciated the bowls and blankets for our pups. Communication with the owner was phenomenal. Robbie went above and beyond to assure our safety to their home by allowing us to arrive early so we didn't have to drive in the storm. We would love to stay here again soon!

Christmas with family

What a wonderful place to stay for a getaway. The house was lovely. It was stocked with everything you could ask for. The beds were extremely hard otherwise, very cozy and relaxing. I definitely recommend staying here. My family and I will be back. Thank you for a great vacation.

Fall Family Vacation

Was visiting family in Murphy. My wife and myself, our 3 boys ages 8, 6, and 3. And two dogs. Our stay was perfect for what we needed. The kids love playing in the river and having fires at night. The dogs loved the giant yard and the pen was perfect for letting them out at night. All around it was a great trip and perfect location.

Very nice stay on the river

The cabin was very nice and as shown on VRBO. There were all kinds of amenities including body wash and shampoo. Listening to the river was very relaxing, Overall the location is very good. Murphy is only 10-15 minutes away for shopping and restaurants. The host was very helpful with any questions we had prior to our visit. The beds were ok but a little on the firm side. I think some of the living room furniture could use an upgrade. We traveled with two dogs and the cabin was well suited for them. They seemed to enjoy their walks around the area.

Fantastic

This is the first VRBO that I have stayed in that everything is supplied. This is truly a bring your clothes and toothbrush and thatā€™s it. The view is fantastic, the house is wonderful. Have already booked for next October.

Quiet and peaceful with a river view

Great stay at Trout Inn on Hiawassee River. Robbie our Host was easily in contact and informative. Loved the Inn and it was well stocked with everything you need and very comfortable. Loved to sit on the porch and listen to the river so peaceful. We also enjoyed our motorcycle rides to places of interest in not only NC but the neighboring states ad well. Definitely will be back.

Wonderful place!

Very beautiful property. Very well stocked with amenities. Loved seeing the wildlife. Loved listening to the river from the front porch. Awesome restaurants nearby. Lots of fun things to do. Really enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making sā€™mores in the fire pit. Highly recommend this place. Beautiful and comfortable beds too.
