    The Space:

    Your new nature-infused getaway awaits you at this two-story forest cabin. Walk down to the creek right on the property for quiet contemplation, or sit out on the front porch swing or rockers and watch for the wildlife. Enjoy feeding the deer, birds, rabbits, and squirrels, then soak in the hot tub for the ultimate relaxation as the stars come out. Enjoy the wooded views from the back decks. Cook up your favorite meal on the gas or charcoal grill. Nearby, enjoy the waterfalls, the river, antique stores, vineyards, casinos, museums, hiking trails, and numerous local shops and eateries. Inside, the all-wood interior adds to the rustic feel of escaping to the woods but combines with modern amenities and upscale finishes.



    This well-equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, sleek countertops, a large island, and everything needed to whip up your favorite meals and drinks. The two bedrooms, one on each level, are spacious, and equipped with a TV, ceiling fan, and ample closet space. One room provides a work desk and chair for remote work, or you may be inspired to write your novel. Additional perks include games, toys, central air conditioning, complimentary WiFi, and a washer/dryer. As the evenings wind down, snuggle around the gorgeous stone façade gas fireplace or sit by the outdoor fire pit. Just relax, unwind, and reconnect with family and nature.     Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 PM Check-out time: 10:00 AM Streaming services are available with guests' own accounts. The roads are paved all the way to the driveway of the home. The driveway itself is gravel and not made for low-riding vehicles. All guests shall abide by our good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Weekend Escape

Just a weekend to get away and escape life. Cabin was amazing, everuthing available and activities are within driving distance. Loved the slow down and the privacy the location offered!

Location was great and game room was great for our kids. Also we liked the Christmas tree which was decorated.Guest rooms were clean but were little bit smaller to our liking. Another small thing which was bit disappointing was that body wash bottles were empty in both bathrooms. Also I did feel communication could be bit faster and responsive ( probably it was slow due to new year eve guest volumes )Overall great house and we did really enjoy our time there.

Great place!

My wife and I stayed veterans day weekend. The cabin was very clean and had everything needed and a few extras. We loved it and it was in a great easy accessible location. I would highly recommend.

Great Stay at Buck Haven

Stayed at several cabins before and this one was my favorite. Murphy NC is lower elevation than other cabins, so easy to get there. The deer came to see us frequently, and the cabin was perfect.

Beautiful home in a wonderful place!

What a great place for a family to visit! Plenty of space, fun game room for kids, perfect master bedroom. Loved having morning coffee on the deck, and the kids had a great time roasting marshmallows on the fire pit. Easy to get into town! Will definitely come again!

Spacious home and great location

The home was very clean and spacious. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and enjoy the stay. The house is in a great location in Black Mountain. Just a few miles from the center of town, which was cute and great shopping. Also, the house was close to downtown Asheville and an easy ride to hiking trailheads.

Perfectly secluded (but still close enough to town).

Super clean, spacious, secluded & quiet. If ever we are back in Murphy, we’ll stay here again. Bring your own Keurig though, the one that is there was broken. Quick response from management company when we let them know though. 5 Stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The property was well kept, but a few issues affected our stay. The Wi-Fi password was incorrect, which we had to figure out ourselves. Then the internet just went down for most of our stay, which affected our planning, as there is no connectivity in that area. There was a coffee machine - but no coffee, which was a disappointment. Overall okay.

Beautiful Cabin

The log cabin is beautifully and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is equipped with terrific appliances, ice maker, and counter space. We were disappointed that the gas logs did not light per the instructions, and the poor phone service made it impossible to call and ask for help lighting the fireplace. The internet connection was also poor. I would suggest the bedroom furniture be switched so that older guests would not have to traverse the stairs in order to make use of the king bed in the upstairs bedroom. The exterior of the cabin is as advertised, with a wonderful back deck and an outdoor fireplace.

Fun Family Fourth of July in Black Mountain

Nice home, but in need of some maintenance and upgrades. Wooden entry stairs need some stabilization and repairs. Inside stair rails need to be secured and checked for safety. Master bath shower spout and handle are very wobbly and need to be repaired, fiberglass shower and tub insert look stained...bathroom facelift or upgrade badly needed. Master bedroom carpet needs to be replaced too...has a slight odor. Master bedroom is very spacious, but the three bedrooms upstairs are small. Very nice and comfortable great room, dining area and kitchen with nice appliances. Deck off kitchen is nice. There is an outdoor fire table, but an outdoor dining table would be nicer with a bricked patio area for the fire table. The biggest disappointment was the yard...there is none. The description and pictures are misleading...pictures make it look like there is a yard and the written description states two acres, giving the impression that there is a wooded yard. The house is on a steep hill with a steep driveway making it very awkward for four cars to park. We were only able to park three cars in the parking area. One of the nicest parts of the home was the great playroom downstairs for the kids! Nice towels and lots of cozy blankets. Pet friendly was a big plus for us and the pet fees were very reasonable. Thank you!

Beautiful home, well equipped and perfect for staying with friends while attending a conference at Ridgecrest. WiFi was very weak and cell reception was spotty.
