Rock House-Downtown Munising with Private Patio, Garage, Fire-pit & BBQ Grill

Centrally located two bedroom, two bathroom home located in downtown Munising. Close to Bayshore Park where the Pictured Rocks Cruises depart. Enjoy family time in the back, private patio and roast marshmallows over the portable firepit. This home includes a fully equipped kitchen, living room with cable TV and WiFi throughout the house. Linens and towels also provided. Those traveling with children can rest at ease knowing the house is also child friendly and includes a Pac-n-Play. Our home is also pet friendly!

Additional sleeping options inlcude two cots and an air mattress.

**PETS! Airbnb may only charge you for the 1st pet, you will be requested to send an additional $50 plus tax ($53) per pet. Our pet policy is $50/pet plus tax plus an additional one time cleaning charge of $30. If Airbnb does not collect this amount you are still responsible. We're respecting your pet, so please respect our pet policy. Clean up after your pet, please do not allow pets on furniture. Please keep kenneled if left alone. If your pet barks when you are gone, please do not leave it alone.

Accurate and timely communication. Wonderful place. Clean and neat as can be. Very easy access to all that the town of Munising has to offer. Love the town. Bonus: park in secure garage on the property! Would definitely stay here again.

The Rock House was a very nicely furnished, well-equipped, cute place that suited our needs beautifully. The house was very clean and tidy. As two couples traveling together, we were glad to have two bathrooms, both with nice showers. Both beds were comfortable, and each room had a dresser that allowed us not to live out of our suitcases. The kitchen had everything we needed. We also made good use of the washer and dryer in the immaculate basement. The off-street parking and the garage were great to have for our two cars, and we enjoyed sitting out in the private backyard to enjoy some down time. The Rock House’s location couldn’t have been better! We walked a lot of places— Pictured Rocks Cruises and the Border Grill restaurant are across the street, and other restaurants and shops are just 2 or 3 blocks away. The grocery store is less than 5 minutes away by car. We also enjoyed a short day trip to Miner’s Beach and a longer one to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, with a hop over to Ontario for dinner! The weather was mild most of the week, but heated up at the end. The downstairs air conditioner and the bedroom with the window unit were cool enough, and the second bedroom without an air conditioner was fair with the use of fans.

Perfect spot for Pictured Rocks!

The property is located in the perfect spot for many UP attractions with the amenities of being right in the middle of town. Mornings on the front porch sipping coffee while looking out at Lake Superior were peaceful.

Our Pictured Rocks visit was truly wonderful!

This property was a very luxurious and satisfying way to enjoy the Munising / Pictured Rocks area attractions. We spent a really enjoyable week here and couldn’t have asked for a better location or amenities from our lodging. The luxury of having two full bathrooms (even though there were only two of us!) was a real plus! And all the other features of this home were also greatly appreciated - a very nice and accessible garage, a delightful back yard / patio area with lots of grilling and seating options, and a very well appointed interior with all the appliances we could hope for (and then some!) We will definitely consider this property for any future visits! Thanks so much to the owners.

I found a comforter in the other bedroom which helped. Also that room had a lot of street noise.Biggest complaint was the large fees which more than doubled the rate for our 2 night visit.

Stay in the UP

Great location for access to Pictured Rocks Lakeshore. Nice place. Layout was conducive to entertaining 4 comfortably. Just being picky, but bed had a gel pad that was well worn and would have love to take it off and throw it on the floor, as husband and I rolled into middle like tacos. Other than that no complaints. Enjoyed our stay.

Great location!

Enjoyed our stay with our family of 4. Plenty of space for everyone and having a second bathroom/shower was great. The location was perfect for walking around in the evening after a day of activities. Enjoyed take out pizza from Pictured Rocks Pizza on the back patio one night and tried out the beer at By George’s Brewery another night- both about an 2 minute walk from the house! Everything was as advertised in the listing. Would stay again if we are back in the area.

We stayed in Munising for 3 nights and the house was perfect! Right downtown so you can walk to everything. House is clean and has everything you need including a small enclosed back area with table, chairs, a grill and a firepit. Loved our stay

Great home for a family vacation!

We had a great time staying here and were sad to have to leave. The house was perfect for our small family. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to make meals, the fenced in back yard was great for our toddler to play safely, and the location was within walking distance of so many places. Loved being right behind Tacopotamus (which we visited twice) and a short walk to Falling Rock Cafe where our toddler could play while we hung out. Already planning our next trip back and would totally stay here again!

Great cozy home

Home is cozy & felt very comfortable- Went to visit my daughter & her family who live 4 blocks from the rental. Home is older but clean & well-kept. Within walking distance of many stores, shops, and boat rides/ dock. Could use a second TV and second blow-dryer:) Back yard is enclosed and private. Would recommend this home and would stay here again:)

A great stay in Munising!

Our stay at the Rock House was nothing short of exceptional! The location was perfect to start our daily adventures from. I especially liked that we were able to park our vehicle in the garage and that the house came equipped with a pack n play so I didn’t have to pack my own! The house is clean, well maintained, and we will definitely be coming back!

In the middle of it all

Very clean property. Had everything needed in the kitchen. Nice patio chairs and table. We used the garage nightly and the fire pit a few nights. We walked daily to the pier and around town to the gift shops, hardware, and restaurants. We brought our own kayaks and used them at beaver lake, au train river, and close by on a calm day in Munising bay.we also did some hiking to see some waterfalls and the viewing areas on the pictured rock cliffs. We would definitely stay at the rock house again.

Cute, clean, & relaxing!

My family really enjoyed our stay at this adorable house in downtown Munising! We enjoyed the proximity to everything in town as well as the backyard for late night bonfires. Our dog loved the place too!
