  • Plan your next getaway to this 4 bedroom cottage. Situated on a completely secluded 15-acre estate with its own private pond with sandy bottom thats perfect for swimming. Only a 1 hour drive north from West Toronto. The beach and volleyball court have been completely redone with fresh sand in 2023. All exterior photos were taken July of 2023.


    4 Season Cottage features:

    - 1600 square feet across 2 floors with walk out basement
    - Forced Air Heating and Air Conditioning
    - BBQ (Propane included)
    - 4 bedrooms (2 queen beds & 2 double beds)
    - 2 bathrooms
    - Wood burning fireplace
    - 5 person wet bar
    - Fresh river water pond perfect for swimming
    - Sandy beach and volleyball court
    - Sandy gradual slope beach perfect for kids
    - Outdoor fire pit
    - Large field for football, soccer and tag

    Important note: This is an older cottage built by my grandparents in the 70’s. The property and landscaping is spectacular and the cottage has seen a few renos and upgrades over the years but it is still an older home. The small red upper deck that overlooks the pond is off limits as it needs to be replaced and we are waiting for permits. We ask that the basement toilet be used with caution as it is also the sewage ejector for the lower level. The sewage ejector could jam if anything other than human waste is flushed. The main floor bathroom has a normal toilet that you would find in any home.

Great property for a family or friend getaway

The property is a little hard to find but that’s part of the magic! Richard was very responsive and provided direction for us to find it. The place itself is great and has all the essentials.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend!

Absolutely lovely property with the pond, huge trees and trails through the woods. The beach was great fun for volleyball and badminton. The children loved playing with their trucks. Lots of space to relax outside. The cottage itself was clean and a perfect size for our large family. Questions to the host were answered promptly. Would definitely rent again.

Underwhelming and falling apart

We were not aware that the deck overlooking the pond was unusable and a safety hazard. We would have liked to be made aware beforehand. The beach area was full of weeds and grass with no effort to clean before we got there. Overall, pictures were not an accurate reflection of the state of the property. However, we stayed last summer so perhaps things have improved since.

Needs to hire new cleaning service

Richard (owner) was very accommodating when presented with an issue. We had discussed twice prior to our trip to ensure barbecue had full tanks, unfortunately both were empty. Richard called a cab company (which wasn't cheap at his expense) to come and pick up the tank and replace with full one. Thank you Richard. I suggested to Richard, he should check on the cleaning services currently being used, as the filter in the coffee machine had not been changed, matter of fact it was disgusting with mold. The pots and pans needed to be washed prior to be used with some elbow and muscle in cleaning. I assume the cleaning service had sent the owner (Richard) an email outlining for us to bring our own paper towels, toilet paper and dish soap, in which we were notified the day of going. Overall, the rooms were clean, the outside appearance the grass should have been cut. For piece and quiet in the country it was good. However, please note we did see 2 mice downstairs, which we think get in under the basement door. I believe Richard will definitely look into this issue, and trust me who in the country doesn't have mice....

Great cottage

Beautiful cottage and a very spacious backyard. The grass needed a bit of trimming but overall we had a wonderful experience. Richard was always around when you needed to call him. I would go back there again.

Hidden Gem

My friends and I rented this place to stay for the long weekend. It was the perfect size for the 10 of us. Even thought not all of us had our own room, but we had our own corner to sleep in. The beach was great for hanging around, but there are a lot of rocks and stones in the sand, so it didn't work out too well for volley ball. The pond water is full of fishes and definitely great for swimming (just a little bit cold for us since we got there in early September).

Fantastic tome

My friends and I booked the property for a getaway this year. It was fabulous .The water was clean, the house was in good order. Lots of games to play- we loved the twister!! We brought lots of wood and enjoyed fires on both nights. The house is huge with lots of entertaining space for everyone to not feel cramped and on top of each other. We will Def come back to this property!!

Beautiful Retreat ... best feature was the beach

Beautiful retreat with a great beach and swimmable pond. Fairly easy process although easy to miss the entrance, close attention needs to be paid. Beware very poor cell service in this area to contact anyone. Beautiful outdoor space and comfortable inside. Lots of amenities: paddle boat, floating dock, volleyball net, chairs, fit pits (x2), bbq (x2), all kinds of toys, life jackets, skates etc. for your use. Not too much shade by the beach but lots of trees further away to enjoy shade. Few issues were: Back upper deck and basement washroom were not operable upon arrival and throughout stay, unfortunately we were not advised prior and one bathroom was difficult with 5 people. I texted the owner and maintenance came within hours to advise us that the bathroom was clogged from prior guests and parts were need to fix. I communicate again via text after we left (cell service) but no response or acknowledgement, poor communication. Landline did ring alot throughout our stay. It was a beautiful place despite the deck and washroom, so much to do and would be a wonderful family get away.

Great Stay

Had a nice time despite some bad weather. Beautiful outdoor space and comfortable inside. My only feedback would be to let friends/family know when you are renting the property. We were getting a bunch of phone calls to the landline on the first night we stayed there.

Excellent place for a get away. Great location and a very private location with great amenities.

This is a great home away location and the host was extremely good. Always helpful and was very accommodating to all our requests. The house was very homely and had all the cleaning supplies and the host was very generous with all the basic stuff required and we did not miss anything. The house was very clean and had all the basic bedding and necessary items in the house.
