"The staff at Captain's Choice are warm, helpful and welcoming. They helped me figure out my travel plans as they often change due to weather. It's also convenient because they offer rental cars as well. It's an older building, but my bed was very comfortable and I had a terrific view of the water and mountains. The continental breakfast is pretty basic with yogurt, cereal, fruit and frozen waffles/pancakes. "

"This location was set in a truly beautiful area. If you are lucky enough to stay in a lake facing room you will have a great view in the morning. For those coming off the ferry the lodging is very close and accessible from the ferry and to the town. A very comfortable place to stay in a beautiful location "

"We stayed there with another couple and it was just what we needed. Place was clean and cozy. The view in the morning was glorious! Only thing i wish there would be a hot plate or something to cook your own meal other than the bbq. Otherwise great place."

"The only problems were that the cabin was pretty dark inside; not enough light for reading in the evening and the little freezer did not keep food frozen. Other than that, however, I would highly recommend this rental. "

"This is a great property for the price. Location in town was excellent and the Property Manager was very helpful. The fireplace was not working at the time, however there was a heating system which worked fine. The car rental location was next door, which was convenient, and you can’t beat the beautiful mountain view. Looking forward to our next visit to Haines."

"This property was clean, well equipped, close to everything! The bikes were a plus to have to get around. Communications with Randa were great while we were there and while setting up our stay. The bed was comfortable, kitchen worked out well for cooking, laundry facilities too! Enjoyed Netflix and the provided movies. We would rent from Randa again!"
