  • Esta é uma espaçosa casa de frente para a pedra, com vistas espetaculares da Cordilheira dos Doze Pins, da Baía Ballinakill e do Oceano Atlântico, a partir de um grande deck de madeira na parte traseira da casa, oferecendo o local ideal para observação. A casa tem um grande hall de entrada com uma grande sala de estar com lareira de pedra que fica ao lado da sala de jantar. A cozinha combina modernidade com a tradicional e possui uma linha Stanley e uma ilha com fogão de 5 bicos com forno e churrasqueira. A cozinha está totalmente equipada com micro-ondas e lava-louças. Há uma despensa na cozinha com geladeira, freezer pequeno, máquina de lavar e secar roupa. Ao lado da cozinha há uma pequena sala de estar / aconchegante - local ideal para as crianças brincarem ou um espaço tranquilo para ler. Este quarto também pode ser convertido em quarto individual extra, oferecendo 9 espaços para dormir. A casa tem acesso Wi-Fi., TV e aparelho de som, também há muitos jogos e quebra-cabeças para fazer e livros para ler da ficção à história local. Todos os quartos têm casa de banho e o quarto principal leva para o deck de madeira. A casa fica a uma curta distância de carro / da praia de Ross e a uma curta distância de Clifden, Cleggan e Letterfrack e do Parque Nacional Connemara e da Abadia de Kylemore.

Great week in Connemara

The house was really clean and felt very big. We enjoyed using th peat fire and Aedan was always on hand to help us out if needed. The price is fantastic for such a big house, in a great location with amazing views!

We had a great time staying at this property. It is in the heart of Connemara with easy access to Kylemore Abbey, Connemara NP, Clifden, Galway and Westport. The islands are very close as well. As you should expect Irish weather changes on a dime from rain to sun and back in a moments notice. The owners live on the property and are very friendly and helpful.

What a fantastic home away from home. Very well maintained with everything you could need. Aedan the owner was very welcoming and looked after us so well. The 2 family’s loved the week in this house and hope to come back. Thank you 😊

Lovely, well-designed and well-equipped house, charming hosts, beautiful area. Lots of information on its flora, fauna and history among the well-lined bookshelves. Car needed, good shopping facilities in nearby Letterfrack and Clifden. Fresh fish for sale in Letterfrack on Thursday and Friday mornings. All six of us (one Irish, two Germans, three French) were delighted with our stay.

The passage

Period spent with daily bike rides, rest and tranquility assured. Lots of space and vegetation around. Oxygen thanks to the proximity of the coast was not lacking... Ok!

Das Haus ist super geräumig und entspricht genau der Beschreibung. Bei Ankunft war alles pikobello sauber und auch eine Grundausstattung mit Reinigungs- und Spülmitteln sowie Gewürzen war vorhanden. Aedan ist ein sehr angenehmer Gastgeber, der uns mit guten Tips versorgt hat. Kleine Probleme wurden schnell behoben, z.B. ein neuer Trockner beschafft, nachdem sich der alte als nicht reparierbar erwiesen hatte. Die Lage ist super, aber ohne Auto ist man aufgeschmissen. Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit und unsere 2 Wochen sehr genossen.

Maison spacieuse et très bien équipée

Un très bon spot pour visiter la région. La maison est très spacieuse et lumineuse, la cuisine est super équipée, le salon est confortable avec plusieurs canapés cosy. Aedan nous a bien conseillé (ne pas louper le marchand de fruits de mer du vendredi sur le marché de Clifden : crabes, huîtres, langoustes !).

Wonderful House, Fantastic Area

The house is perfect for large families or groups, cosy, full of games and books and with stunning views. Lots to do from walking to swimming and horseriding. Somewhat negative aspect, but unavoidable in Connemara: you need the car atball times.

We booked Crocnaraw Cottage not having visited or know much about the area other than it was situated within one of the most picturesque areas of Ireland - the Connemara National Park. We have to say that the cottage was outstanding with the views being just as illustrated and took our breath away - the shrubs have now established themselves . The cottage was adequately furnished and we were fortunate to enjoy relaxing on the patio - the views are amazing and Aedan was very helpful on our arrival and throughout - Janet having even made us some sourdough bread which was enjoyed by us all. We have enjoyed a number of self-catering cottages over the years and we can say that Crocnaraw Cottage is superbly situated for visiting this area of such beauty - we would certainly recommend it to anyone reading this review and are sure you would not be disappointed.

Excellent house and host

We were met by Aedan on arrival and he showed us round. The house is by far the best we have stayed in in Ireland. The photos do not do it justice. 4 bedrooms, all en suite with the master being very big with patio doors to the terrace. Picnic table and patio chairs made for some relaxing afternoons/evenings. We had use of the barbecue and given the good weather this was great. Large kitchen with loads of dishes, pots and pans with gas cooker and electric ovens. The kids had great fun in the large garden. Short drive to Clifden with plenty of shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing break!

Fijne, ruime woning op een mooie centrale plek! Heerlijke eigen badkamers en een ruime woonkamer en keuken. We hebben genoten Makkelijk contact met de eigenaar.

Photographers paradise

A group of 5 photographers used this property as a base for exploring Connermara. We found the accommodation was very good for catering for the groups needs and providing a great base to explore and socialise at the end of the day.

In the Wild West

This was our first visit to Ireland and we loved it! Amazing scenery, lovely people, some great food and drink and none of the crowds that you would find in similarly beautiful parts of the UK. The house was extremely comfortable and well equipped with plenty to do in the local area. Aedan was around to offer help and advice when needed. There is plenty of information in the house and loads to read - a veritable library! We will be back one day.

Very relaxing summer holiday

We had a two weeks stay with two families in July and enjoyed this beautiful place. The house was clean, well equipped and it was enough space for 8 adult persons. Although the weather at Irelands Atlantic coast is always a little unsteady, we had lots of oppoprtunities for sightseeing, trekking and enjoying the beautiful nature.

A beautiful property nestled within paradise

I have stayed in lots of rental properties over the years and I have never had a bad experience in any Home Away holiday property. This was no exception, you could not honestly fault anything if you tried. Things that make or break rental properties in my opinion are generally the little things. Linen, do not under estimate the power of good linen. A well equipped kitchen, even if you only cook occasionally you need a good kitchen, it has an amazing kitchen. The relaxing areas just felt like home, enough seating in dining areas, the garden and a general homely feel. This place ticked all the boxes and more, I and our party all noted how easy it was to live here. Then to top it all off, it is located in arguably one of the most beautiful, unspoilt parts of the world I have had the pleasure of visiting. Mountains, lakes, glacial valleys, huge open spaces where at times you can see no evidence of human existence as far as the eye can see. We were sorry to leave, and would love to return someday. Thank you for making our holiday in Ireland one to remember.

Beautiful House with Great Views

We stayed at the house for 10 days and loved it. Connemara is stunning and we were able to easily get to all the great sights. Aidan gave us some fresh seafood from his business and otherwise we barely knew they were there.

Well equipped house in good location

5 of us shared this house for a cycling walking holiday. it is located about 5 miles from Clifden so a car is required but there is no end of beautiful locations to explore. The kitchen was very well equipped. There is an excellent store of books to read and browse and Aeden was a helpful host. Highly recommended

La maison à beaucoup de charme, toute fois le mobilier et l'électroménager auraient besoin d'être renouveler. la consommation d'électricité est énorme. Nous avons été surpris par le montant de la facture.... cette maison est parfaite pour une famille chaque chambre possède sa salle de bain. le paysage est magnifique.

Lovely spacious property in a beautiful part of Ireland.

It was a lovely property. Very spacious and the kids loved it as much as they did the beach. The beaches were beautiful with white sands and quite deserted. Go to Omey Strand as the beach there is very safe with plenty of rock pools for the children to enjoy. To eat go to the Seafarer in Letterfrack where the food is delicious. We’ve never had scampi like that before.

Lovely huge house, close to beaches and lovely towns

I hadn't realised that the owners lived below. It was not a problem however as we hardly saw them. The house was clean and tidy and perfect for the 4 adults and 5 children staying. Our small dog was also welcome. There was a small problem managing hot water but after speaking with Ayden (owner) I changed the timing a little and then there was no problem. The kids loved having the space to play and their own bathrooms! I went daily into the garden, which is huge but there is a pond which we werent aware of. The ground is very wet in this area so we couldnt enjoy the garden itself (the grass was very often too wet) but there is a beautiful large terrace tp enjoy instead. The views from the house are breath-taking. Luckily we had brought 2 extra chairs with us to enjoy the terrace- a few more chairs on the terrace might be a good idea for those larger groups. The kitchen has everything you need, plenty of cups, plates and glasses for large groups. Water pressure is low but you cant expect more so high in the mountains. All in all an unforgetable holiday was had in this beautiful, family friendly house.

Great holiday home

We loved our stay in this beautiful house. The views were amazing and the house had everything we needed. The decking area accessed from the lovely master bedroom and utility room was lovely for sitting and enjoying the views and weather. Close to Kylemore, Clifden, Rosses beach and the National Park. We really appreciated Janet and Aidan's welcome and enjoyed the turf for an open fire and lovely homemade wheaten and jam they left for us. They live in the separate basement apartment of the property so are on hand if you need anything but you would hardly know they were there. Thank you so much for a lovely relaxing break.
