– Each king connects to a twin room with a daybed and nightstand (sleeps 2 total)

📶 Internet Note: Due to the rural location, WiFi is provided through the only available provider. It works for basic use but may not be reliable for streaming or video calls. For remote work, we recommend bringing a hotspot—though we hope you’ll enjoy unplugging and exploring the outdoors instead!

BEAUTIFUL SPOT! Nice house (living spaces were smaller than I imagined), lovely backyard with lots of space, cute little creek, nice lighting by a fire pit, and nice hot tub! Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked with dishes/cooking supplies. No dishwasher, so handwashing was fine but not enough kitchen towels available, so we had to use bathroom towels. Flies found in the house and especially in bedroom windows. Nicely decorated though, good facilities, and lovely, peaceful outdoor spaces. WiFi is minimal, so don’t plan for having WiFi available.., inconsistent.

Beautiful home on a quiet road

The house is beautiful. Pretty stream on property. Wish the hot tub was working though. There were flies and stink bugs in the bedrooms. That was gross and annoying unfortunately. But other than thay it was a clean house. The road it is on is very quiet. Some of the beds were very stiff and uncomfortable.

Family week

This property is perfect for laid back time away from hustle and bustle. The hot tub is awesome. We sat around the fire next to the creek and played cornhole under the lights. 2 to 3 vehicles pass by per hour during the day. It’s a 15 minute drive to Independence to the Frosty Monkey for ice cream or to Ciro’s for pizza. 20 minutes in the car takes you to West Jefferson that has dozens of Main Street shops and antique stores. This property is off the grid but close enough to civilization to be convenient. Spotless and just as advertised. Definitely on our do over list.

Quiet and secluded

Property as advertised. Communication with property manager was prompt and helpful. This home has a great quiet location with lists of surrounding wildlife. A great fire pit and a small nearby stream increases tranquility.

Cozy Farmhouse

Our stay was wonderful, the house is so cozy! It was so clean. We loved the hammock and fire pit area. We were disappointed that the hot tub and WiFi wasn’t working at the time, but still had fun. We used the kitchen a lot and cooked most of our meals there. We kept our horses at Grayson Highlands horse camp and rode trails there. Went shopping in West Jefferson. Loved the ice cream at the State Line store!!! Also just up behind the state line store, there’s a old store that was very nice and the people there are so friendly. We are already planning a trip back!

A GREAT dog friendly property!!

A wonderful yard!! The house is great and in a safe location...the yard EVEN BETTER.My one suggestion would be to clean the hot tub for use, if you are going to advertise that on the property listing.A VERY well stocked kitchen . Don't miss hiking at Grayson Highland's State Park.We were ages 26-81 and ALL had fun.

Amazing outdoor getaway with family

This property was well accommodated, clean, and comfortable for our stay! We had ages ranging from 1-67, and it was the perfect jumping off point for hiking along the AT, Grayson Highlands, and white top mountain. We tubed and kayaked the New River, and biked the VA Creeper and the New River Trail. We also loved visiting West Jefferson, picking blueberries at Old Orchard Creek Farm. The porch was our usual hangout spot and the kids loved the hammock in the pines. We made great use of the fire pit in the backyard. My 8 year old said, "best vacation ever!" We can't wait to go back next year. Thank you India!

Beautiful and perfect vacation.

Our family had an amazing vacation in your beautiful home. The home was the cleanest vacation home we have ever been in. We were able to enjoy our stay and feel like we were home. India and her family made our Christmas special and were very attentive to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you for making our Christmas extra special ! 🎄 The home was perfect, but wanted to suggest some ideas that may help future tenants; coat hanger near entrance and towel hanger in one of the bathrooms. Overall, we had the best experience and would love to come back some time in the future. 😊

Great family getaway

We had a family weekend with 7 adults and 3 kids and the house worked out great. The setting with farms surrounding the property and the firepit by the stream was perfect. There is not a lot around except hiking and parks but it is a perfect mountain getaway. The house was nicely supplied with naccessaties. Do not expect to use you cell phone much as there was barely service. We will definitely stay here again!

A wonderful weekend!

My husband and I, along with our three young children, stayed for the weekend at “Dallas’ Place” and had a wonderful time! We used the fire pit each night to make s’mores, and my girls loved playing in the creek and exploring the property! Even though the house is right on the road, it was very quiet and we rarely noticed vehicles driving by. We hiked Grayson Highlands and New River state parks, and enjoyed exploring West Jefferson (they have a great playground!). The weather was warm during the day, and we noticed the first night that the ac units upstairs had a little trouble keeping up, but this was easily fixed the rest of our stay by starting the units earlier in the afternoons and keeping the bedroom doors closed to contain the cool air. India was always quick to respond with any questions we had, and accommodated our travels with an early check-in. We had a wonderful stay, thank you for your hospitality!

Pleasantly surprised on arrival. Perfect for our group.( 5 senior citizen males.) Well maintained and very clean. Well stocked with towels and linens. Comfortable beds. Creekside area very relaxing. Only negative was Wi-Fi. No one was able to connect but guess what. We managed fine without it as we should more often at home. Thanks. Dexter

The house is perfect!

The house is a great location. It is close to gas, snacks and the local town but still tucked just far enough away to disconnect. It provides a quiet peaceful place to relax with the water rolling in the creek and the lights outside are gorgeous. There are 2 master bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped and the washer and dryer were huge. We loved EVERYTHING about our stay!

Very clean, well stocked and convenient!

Everything was so clean and organized! Plenty of linens, everything we needed in the kitchen and careful thought has been put into what a visitor may need! The property is on such a beautiful piece of land with a peaceful sitting area close to the small creek (and waterfall) that runs behind the house. We had an early morning event at Grayson Highland Park and this was so close and convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

Always a treat

We have stayed here multiple times while we are building a cabin. Never disappoints and the next best thing to our own place. Especially enjoyed the fire pit and cows mooing this time. Never knew the mooing of cows could be relaxing.
