"We arrived after a late flight into Heraklion, the welcome was warm with the offer of a cold welcome beer. The room was more than we expected woth plenty of space and good amenities.
Morning arrived and we had a fabulous breakfast out on the deck admiring the view over the valley. We only spent a night here bit wish we could have had 1 more.

"Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

From the private pool to the high-end finish out of the houses, it is just stunning. The kitchen is so well stocked to make anything. From the microwave to the oven to the electric griddle to the outdoor gas grill, the washer and dishwasher. The parking for your car is very secure. "We stayed in a small village not far from the city center, a place with its own history and wonderful people. Everyone was kind and welcoming. Right next to where we stayed there was a church, and spending time there lets you truly feel the local culture. We stayed in the “Sofia” apartment, which had its own terrace very cozy and homely. There was a kitchen, the only thing missing was a kettle, but overall it’s a very pleasant place with everything you need close by. The host is really friendly...
